I am glad it’s touch screen and easy to play around with it

The sound was really good. However the unit failed after about a year and a half. After a cancelation with the Pioneer repair tech he divulged the information that the processor Pioneer uses in these unit is inadequate and doesn't hold up. The replacement processor and labor are an additional $250.00 out of your pocket. I discussed this issue with Pioneer and they appeared to not care. They told me, "It was my choice if I wanted to pay to have it repaired."

Great product. Love the wireless connection. It just works.

Head unit died at a little over 18months . There are no FAQs, no support, limited troubleshooting tips. After waiting nearly 40mins on hold for a Pioneer technician was told "evidently an internal issue with the unit", "not worth the time / expense to repair", "....since we don't even make this anymore we would recommend buying a brand new top of the line model".....also was told so sorry, but "there's nothing we will do to help you with a new purchase". I would recommend looking for another option. I swore by Pioneer and have installed Pioneer head units going back nearly 30 some years since I first started doing them in high school. Its a shame on the quality and customer support. I will not be giving my money to this company any more.

Do not buy this stereo. If you do a basic Google search for 4400NEX and SD card you’ll find hundreds of buyers who wound up with it bricked. The SD cards with the operating system pioneer uses are low quality and die after about 2-3 years. I reached out to their customer service twice and never heard back.

Loved this while it worked but it stopped loading the OS and was essentially a brick after two years. Read online that it was possibly due to a faulty OS drive but I wasn’t ordering a new one and tearing apart my dash in the hopes it would fix it. I did have the geek squad protection and replaced it with a newer pioneer unit.

Paid extra $150 for wireless Android Auto to find out it doesn't work well. Only works connected to the USB.

This radio didn't work at all in my Yukon Denali XL. The Android audio didn't work good at all.

The Radio was installed by Best Buy into my car and it works better than I expected. I got this radio for the wireless carplay as most other models were wired. The wireless carplay was seamlessly integrated to the new radio as soon as I plugged my phone into the usb port. Google Maps works very well with the system as I like to use that instead of Apple Maps until the new upgrade. There are a lot of other features that I haven't had to a chance to place with yet but overall I am satisfied. My only 2 complaints are with the screen which is that the screen is a dust and finger print magnet and there is a lot more glare than my factory radio screen in direct sunlight. Car is 2013 Honda Accord V6.

Does everything as expected. I originally bought the alpine ilx-207 but the call volume was not loud enough. Other than that that was a great radio too but I’m glad I ended up with this unit. More features and great sound. Pioneer is a very good product with fair pricing.

If you don't have a pixel or a Nexus, the wireless Android auto won't work for you until you get Android 9.0 in your phone. No GPS. No xm radio. If you want those two features added to the unit it'll cost you and extra $400.

Pros: Good sound, nice looking, responsive screen, excellent radio reception, lots of functions (under ideal conditions) Cons: Many useful functions disabled while driving/moving (eg, brightness setting), GPS "thinking" that you're moving also restricts functions, the eject button catch on some trim, can't use polarized sunglasses with the radio (the screen gets darker because they used the wrong screen polarity), Wireless Android Auto not fully functional (yet) Verdict: I can't recommend this since the radio becomes useless under too many conditions. Why spend more for a car with heated seats if the heated seats only work in the summer?

I’ve had my 4400nex a little over a week now. It shuts itself down when music is played loudly, has issues communicating with cell phone, doesn’t dim enough for night driving, and won’t allow volume control at all sometimes (either on the unit or steering wheel). I went back to the bestbuy installer to verify it wasn’t just my unit or a glitch in the firmware update that was installed. The brand new 4400 we put in had the same issue right away. When it does work though it’s a nice unit.
