The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild is nothing short of an absolute Classic Masterpiece. As someone who has played every previous entry in the series I would say that this is the most fully realized extension of that original world yet. you can literally go anywhere you can see and, if you have a crazy idea to solve a puzzle, chances are it will work. extremely satisfying game-play and exploration!

I have been playing this game for about 2 weeks now and i cannot put it down. My wife and i each got a copy and are loving the game. The world youre thrown into is so huge, and full of many types of creatures and places to explore it almost seems endless. The colors and graphics are beautiful and it feels like a true Zelda game. I would higbly reccomend this game to anyone who is a Zelda fan or for someone even starting to play Zelda.

Expansive world, beautiful graphics and music, fun story, many gameplay options due to its open world structure. I didn't consider myself a gamer before playing this game, but the tutorial level helps you learn all the controls, making this game a good one for new gamers and an excellent introduction to the Legend of Zelda franchise.

I'm fairly new to the Zelda franchise. The first game I beat was A Link Between Worlds and it kept me hooked. I cannot express how amazing this game really is and how expansive the world is. The only negative thing I can say was I purchased the game before I got my Switch, so I just had to stare at it for two weeks before I could find a console.

Hands down this is the reason the switch isn't to bad. Such a great game, lots of fun, space to explore. Kids will love it but might have some difficult times bu that will depend on each individual person. If you have a switch you have to get this game, otherwise why do you even have the switch. (Until Mario kart, and more games start releasing)

Truly a Game That Feels Like a Real Adventure

I originally bought BotW on the Nintendo Wii U when it came out in early 2017 because I did not yet have a Switch. I spent roughly 80 hours playing that version to the end of the story, without completing every single side quest, shrine, etc. It was a great experience. I've always dreamed of playing a game where you feel like you are actually out in the wilderness exploring and discovering new things. Truthfully, the Elder Scrolls games, which should be that immersive, could never capture that feeling for me, though I always expected one would, even as far back as Daggerfall. But, BotW managed to create this experience; as I climbed a mountain, rain began pelting down on Link, and the wind blew high grasses all around him, and I truly felt like I was on a grand adventure. It's something about the design of the world and Link's very open ability to navigate it, and it's amazingly immersive. After finally acquiring a Switch, I bought the Switch version of BotW because it feels like the definitive version to own. (And, my son erased my Wii U game file, so I figured I'd start over with the option of going truly mobile whenever I want to). Truthfully, I don't see a tremendous improvement in graphics and gameplay over the Wii U version, so it might not be worth repurchasing if you played that version to completion and don't feel an itch to go back. But if you have a Switch and have never owned it, or you want to play it again after playing it on Wii U, I would pick this up because it truly is a terrific adventure.

This is the best Zelda game in several generations. Its a must own for anyone who has a switch. This is an open world take on the Zelda franchise and it works very well. I have played every Zelda game and this is my favorite. Its a little confusing at first expecting a more linear progression but just wader around the starting island and you will get the hang of it. After that its just great.

An open world Zelda game, who would've thought it would ever happen. But, it's great in every way. Some people say the world was too empty. I only halfway agree. It's not insanely busy, but they keep you wanting to explore, and the world feels "natural" in a way that many open world games do not. It's hard to explain why it all feels so good, but it does. That perfect Nintendo polish and shine.

This is by far one of the best games available on switch right now. It shares backstory from the original games. Carries over the best parts of the original while putting allot of work into to have it be an updated game. The landscapes are beautiful and interesting. The puzzles are fantastic. The fights usually need you to rely on different strengths. The open world is great, and I really love the fact it has mounts!

Honestly have never really liked Zelda games even though Ive continually purchased and tried them only to get bored a few hours in... but this is the complete opposite...pure exploration with some of the best gameplay ive ever come across. My son and I are hooked...playing, exploring, discovering....really cant praise it enough and would highly recommend it to anyone. worth the purchase of a switch to me for this game alone.

Well this is an amazing game that plays great except for some framerate issues at times but the openness of the world makes you have to explore to find out more parts of the story to unlock and the many different ways you can approach a quest or battle is fun. Item management can be a bit of a chore, but once you learn what each weapon and item can do it gets a bit easier to know what to keep in your pack when things don't fit.

    Best Game Ever

Been a gamer for 25 years now, played every Zelda game. Formally my favorite was Link's Awakening on the gameboy, but this game is better. It deserves all the praise it gets and more. If I had to find any fault with it, I'd say the main 4 dungeons are a bit short feeling, and the bosses in them aren't as interesting as past Zelda games. Other than that, it does everything else perfectly making for a very long and fun ride.

Ok, I loved zelda since I first played the SNES version. "A Link To the Past." ever since then I've been a fan. I have played all of the Zelda games and even though I think (Ocarina of Time) is probably the best zelda ever because it was so groundbreaking at the time. I have to say this game comes so close to that and in certain aspects it surpasses it. I originally gave this game a 9/10 but...the more I played it the more I understood why lots of people gave it a 10. I invested so many hours on Ocarina of Times because that game was so perfect. Yet, I put more hours On this game. I know the graphics aren't photo realistic Yet, there is Magic in what Nintendo did here. There were many instances during my game play that I felt like I was there. The physics, the sound, the environments, just WOW! A lot of developers want to make games look real. Nintendo, made this game FEEL real. I can honestly say that FEELING real is way better than looking real. This is one of the reasons why I always have to have a Nintendo system. I'm 37 years old and playing BOTW made me Feel like a kid again. If you dont own a switch buy it on the Wii U. This game is so good I bought it for both systems.

Zelda: BotW is a return to form after the mixed-response previous Zelda games (SS and TP). It does entirely new things to break up the tired-and-true Zelda formula, and for the better. Yet still keeps enough intact to remind you it's a Zelda game. Every corner has something to explore. One of the best games to release in the past 6+ years.

I absolutely love Zelda Breathe of the Wild. It really is bringing Zelda back to its roots. It has an open world to explore. There is no hand holding in this game not like more recent Zelda games. It makes me feel like I am playing the original Zelda games. There is so much to do in the game as well. There are hundreds of hours worth of play. I would highly recommend this game. Any Zelda fan will be very happy with the game.

My son wanted this game for the switch and I purchased it for him and all he has done is played it all day during summer vacation. I've watched him play it and it took him about a week and a half to Beat It. I purchased the downloadable content and he really loves playing Zelda games. He is a huge fan of this game and even I have to say I had a pleasant time watching him play. Nice story and nice colors and graphics.

This game is simply amazing and epic. Everything from the graphics, controls, and sound track all come together to make a fantastic open world Zelda game. Very much in the vein of a Grand Theft Auto game you can do what you want and go where you want ( minus all the humar murder of course ). This game is also very long so if you are looking for a game that isnt over quickly Zelda will satisfy you for more than 60 hours.

This is a very interesting take on the Legend of Zelda game series. You wake from a slumber seemingly unaware of anything around you. Your first weapon is probably a tree branch or a torch, and the weapons will break... often. But it’s an immersive game and clever puzzles worthy of the Zelda name. The only downside is, as I mentioned, your weapons break. There is nothing you can do if you break a favorite weapon and it’s a little weird seeing Link wielding anything other than a trademark sword. It creates a need for strategic battle planning though, and isn’t a game breaker. There are other interesting changes too, such as a stamina bar and cooking ingredients. If you like large scale RPGs, if you liked Skyrim, this game is for you.

The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild is this generation's Ocarina if Time. It's a classic. I normally get bored or feel overwhelmed in open world games, but BoTW is something special and it's a world I'm constantly wanting to get lost in and being rewarded for exploring. This game along is worth owning a Switch. Check out my coverage on Pixelrater for a more in depth look at why the Switch is a fantastic console to own.
