Forget the PlayStation platformer mascots of PS past. Crash, Spyro, Jak and even Sly Cooper himself have got nothing on Astro Bot. This game has Super Mario levels of polished and creative design that is all so incredibly fun to play. The controls are super tight and responsive while making some very creative use of the DualSense controller’s haptics and adaptive triggers. This can best be felt when using the powerup weapons, blasting off on the controller ship or in any of the excellent boss fights. The entire game is loaded with whimsical charm. The music is all super catchy and charming like the score found in any great Sonic or Mario game. The bot characters are all super cute and most of them reference the great PS games from SIE and third-party publishers like Capcom and Konami. I loved seeing MGS and RE pop up in this game! Shame Square-Enix couldn’t play ball with their characters. The environments are super colorful and nicely varied from spooky old haunted ruins to snowy mountain tops. This is really the closest thing PlayStation has ever had to a “Mario” game. It oozes with the same love and care that Nintendo puts into the 3D main Mario games. I had a blast playing this one with my kids. It really reminded me of playing Mario 64 with my family back in the day. It’s actually that good. Do yourself a favor and play Astro Bot!

This is easily the most impressive platformer I have played on the PS5. It does an amazing job of showing off what the console can actually do, especially with the controller haptics and triggers. Every movement feels unique, and the vibrant levels are amazing to explore. It feels like PlayStation has a true mascot character again that is full of personality. The game is a huge hit in our house because it is so easy to pick up and play. My kids are still playing it regularly, and the replayability is fantastic. The developers (Team ASOBI) have also kept things fresh with regular updates and new levels, which makes it feel like a great value. Whether you are a long-time fan or new to the platform, there is so much to love here.

This game utterly impresses on every level. From the platforming that you played when you were a little kid on your NES to the amazing platforming and level design that they have integrated into this game, you are in for a wonderful treat. When you get into the later levels of this game, the difficulty level increases tenfold. Once you start playing this game, you cannot stop until you were 100% done with it. Fully recommended to anyone who enjoys platform, games, adventure games or the like!!

It took me long time to play the Astro's playroom.After playing that game,i know i have to get Astrobot and it did not disapppoint..The experienced i got from playing Astro's playroom got better and improved with Astrobot..It is so much fun!..
