It sounds like the device is not operating as intended. Ring devices require high-speed internet to bring you crisp, clear video and audio. Poor network connectivity can affect the performance of your Ring device. Identify and troubleshoot what is causing connectivity issues for Ring devices to give you the best possible video and audio experience.
To determine whether or not the problem is caused by poor upload speed, run a speed test to determine if your network can support Ring devices. Ring devices require at least 1 Mbps upload and download speeds, though 2 Mbps is recommended for optimal performance. In addition to ensuring that you have sufficient wifi speeds, you will also want to check the signal strength of your device. A poor wifi signal can cause connectivity with your Ring device to be unreliable. Check the Device Health section of your Ring application to ensure the device’s RSSI is within an acceptable range. The recommended range for optimal performance is 0 to -60 for the RSSI.

Meanwhile, the one I ordered from Best Buy was picked up by their carrier, Roadie, and never delivered. Their CSRs made up lies as to where it is. None of which has any basis in truth or evidence and everyone gives me a different reason so I know they’re all lying. Meanwhile Roadie CSRs don’t answer the phones and when they respond, they lie as to where it is too because they can’t admit that their drivers are often unreliable and sometimes steal things where they leave the customer unable to get a refund because we can’t prove their carrier didn’t deliver it which is weird. Let’s just say, save yourselves the hassle and just drive down to the store and pick it up. Best Buy seems to be cutting corners and since they won’t admit that they lost it or the delivery driver stole it or someone else did, they think I have it so therefore this review is valid unless they give me a full refund

Works well

Smart Doorbell Security

Ring has been a popular choice for homeowners seeking added security and convenience for years. The box containing the Ring Battery Doorbell came with the doorbell camera, a mounting wall plate and wall screws, a USB A charger, and a Ring doorbell removal tool. If you need to charge the battery, you must use the removal tool to remove the Ring Doorbell camera from its mount. You then attach the USB A cable to the camera's charging port. The battery life for the Ring Doorbell can vary depending on the usage, but it can typically last for serial months on a single charge. I decided to wire my doorbell camera hard to eliminate having to remove the camera to charge the battery. I disconnected the existing doorbell and used the electric wires to power the Ring Doorbell camera. Although I eliminated having to charge the doorbell battery periodically, the battery can still have a purpose by serving as a battery backup during electrical outages. The doorbell camera installation was easy. The Ring Doorbell app guided me through the whole process. This Ring Battery Doorbell camera features full-body footage, live view, and two-way talk to communicate with visitors from your phone. It also detects motion and sends alerts to your phone when motion is detected. The night vision provides clear footage even in low-light conditions. The video quality is 1080 HD, giving precise details of visitors at the door. The motion detection feature is reliable, providing an added layer of security. You can communicate effectively with visitors using the two-way talk feature. You can customize privacy zones to exclude areas from the camera's view. The overall performance is satisfactory. You have to purchase a Ring Protection Plan to take advantage of the advanced feetures such as video recording history and person detection. While the installation process is straightforward, it may require some technical knowledge for those less familiar with DIY projects. I encountered a slight delay during installation due to my uneven stucco wall outside my front door, but a simple adjustment resolved the issue, allowing the camera to clip onto the mounting plate effortlessly. The Ring Battery Doorbell Smart Wifi Video Doorbell strikes a perfect balance between features, ease of use, and affordability. If you're in the market for a reliable and convenient front door monitoring solution that won't break the bank, this is a product worth considering. Its cost-effective nature will not only provide peace of mind but also make you feel financially secure and smart.
