This might not be a problem for some people who have a doorway set into their house, but for some the ring doorbell 2 sees more of your property. Also the picture quality is more or less the same as the older doorbell 2.

This new tool and the release method isn't as user friendly as using the screws

The Ring Home Plan is mentioned on our Ring packaging, on our website, and in the welcome email you received upon setting up your device.
