We wanted to purchase an additional ring camera to cover our driveway and front walk areas. We chose this camera because we could add it to our current ring account. This camera was super easy to install and connect to our home wi-fi. Within minutes we had uploaded this camera to our ring account. The picture is clear and in color. At night the camera has a flood light that comes on quickly. With our ring account we are able to keep recordings as long as we want. I would recommend this item to anyone wanting an additional camera.

Works as expected, nothing fancy! It has a fish eye and can decently covers the area. Night vision is also good. I'm not sure if the software can detect and zoom in face without pixilation! May be one will appreciate if they had a bad experience with any other bad products.

I replaced an outdoor stickup camera to improve the motion sensing. It was purchased as a battery and converted to wired. The Ring Spotlight Cam Plus wired has better controls and I configured it to not use the lights to protect the neighbors windows. The night vision is excellent for the monitoring that I expected. The power supply failed within a week and Ring Customer Service went through the process of verifying and shipped a replacement power supply the next day.

This camera is everything I wanted and needed. Clear and sharp videos. Very wide angle range.

I bought this for my brother who needed to have a security camera. And it came in really handy. He has caught several people coming up on his porch. Excellent camera - easy to install and to hook up on my account..

Great camera! Works well in all kinds of weather extremes for hot to cold. Had it for almost two years and no problems. Easy to mount and set up.

Purchased this to replace my Arlo camera. This ring device is far more superior and so much easier to use. Installation was a breeze and user interface is great.

The doorbell is part of the Ring system. It has a nice sound, easy to install, and it enables me to see and talk to whoever comes to my door .

I had purchased this particular camera and a right ring, floodlight camera, which I returned both because I wasn’t sure at the time of purchasing which one I wanted to put up so I just purchased both. But I ended up not keeping both because I was gifted a Camera and so I only intended on using one anyway! Both of my returns were unopened unused. I already have these some of these types of cameras up around my home so I can give a review on the ones that I purchased at an earlier date and installed. These are wonderful cameras they’re very easy to install. You can zoom in , love these cameras they do everything you expect out of a camera

I’m really frustrated with how Best Buy handled my issue. I’ve been a loyal customer and bought several Ring cameras in August 2024. All worked fine except the Spotlight Cam Plus OUTDOOR, which stops working whenever it rains or gets too cold. I have to unplug and plug it back in every time, and since it’s installed high up, it’s a huge hassle. When I brought it back to the store, they refused to exchange it, saying it wasn’t a defect—even though I bought the 4-Year Geek Squad Replacement and the camera was less than a month old. They just told me to call Ring customer service instead. This is not what I expected after paying for extra protection. Very disappointed.

I own several ring devices. This is our first plug-in spotlight cam though. That being said lets get to the good. It’s easy to connect. Installation was fairly easy and I had just enough cable to plug it in. If the power cable were 2 inches shorter it would have been a real issue. The camera’s picture quality is okay but could definitely be better. Now for the BAD! The camera mount that attaches to your house is fine. What’s not fine is the mount/camera ball clamp that attaches to that. It’s so cheaply made and the one screw that locks it to the mount feels like it does absolutely nothing. If someone pulled on the camera it would break right off. It’s absolute garbage to sum it up. They could have made it more solid or even made it and the base mount out of metal. Ring could have allowed for it to lock into both threaded inserts on the base as well instead of only the one. The ball-mount clamp is garbage and so are the screws that tighten the ball. No matter how much you tighten it, it just never seems tight enough. Then you get to a point where the tiny screw on the clamp starts to fall apart because they’re just junk. The USB-C cable that powers this unit is such a stupid design. I can only image it’s 100% the reason for the failures i read about. Water takes the path of least resistance and I can only think that the water gets into the usb-c slot and shorts out the board in some scenarios. Every time I adjusted the cable it pops right out. I’m going to silicone it in place today to try and combat that. I picked up a ring battery today to use as a backup power supply. It doesn’t look like there’s any way to enable that feature. I also absolutely hate that I can’t set a light zone like I can on my wired floodlight cam. I’m puzzled at why this feature was overlooked in this “new” plus version. I probably should have picked up another wired floodlight cam but thought it would look silly on the front of the house. All of that being said ring has clearly missed the mark once again and why is it my dashcams are 4k HDR but ring’s still not there yet. It makes me question their design/tech teams. Sounds like they should start listening to the customers.
