A: The plug-in does not include batteries. You can buy batteries and you only need 1 battery but there’s space for 2. It doesn’t appear that you can enable the camera to run off it in a backup scenario. So it may be a waste of $35.

The Ring Spotlight Cam Plus was designed with customizable light and motion settings to be adjusted according to your needs. By default, the spotlight on the Ring Spotlight Cam Plus will only come on when it detects motion at night. The Light Settings tab on the device's page in the Ring app lets you control when your spotlight comes on. As long as the Motion Detection toggle is turned on, the camera will continue to record when motion is detected, even if the lights are turned off. A: Hi goose. Thank you for your question! The newer Ring camera's that can be powered with a plug-in adapter are all designed with a USB-C port. While you have these dual power devices in battery mode they will use the battery inside the device to stay powered. While in plug-in or wired mode the device with stay powered on AC power with fully feature use. If power goes out your device will start to use battery power, but will still have full features enabled, this will cause the battery to drain faster then keeping the device in battery mode. Q: We already have cat6 wire. Can this be used with it?

This Ring Spotlight Cam Plus Plug-In come with a 19.7 feet long power cord that plug into a standard outlet to receive power. These cameras are great!
We bought 4 of these cameras and they are amazing! The video quality is really good, the speakers are loud and clear, and the lights are quite bright. The night vision is awesome! You can clearly see everything. The motion detection is almost instantaneous, the lights come on and it alerts you through the app. I will provide photos to show how awesome it is.

Works great
I’ve had this for almost 2 years and it still works like the day I got it after being outside the entire time. The night mode works great and having lights and an intercom on it is super nice. Found a nice vinyl siding mount on Amazon when we just put new siding on so there was no holes put in the vinyl. Not sure if something like that came with it as it’s been a long time since we’ve opened the box.

Love the Ring Spotlight
The camera was easy to setup and install. The night vision is great, and the motion detection is easy to adjust. I now have two of these cameras, and I want to save the videos, so I purchased the Ring Protect Plus plan. The plan is by location, so I can add multiple cameras. Also, I purchased a backup battery.
