A: Each battery-operated camera comes with one battery and one mount. You download the Ring app on your phone and follow directions that comes with the camera, it's fairly simple. You name each camera according to their location, for example, Frontdoor, Driveway, Deck, etc... Your Ring app is your base station, you are able to retrieve all the information from the app, unless you have problems with your camera, which in turn you'll notify Ring. PS. Before you mount the camera, download it to your app, this way you have a live feed on your phone, and it will help you decide the location and angle of the camera. If you need any help, call Ring.
Q: Do I have to buy a subscription to record video?
A: Yes. Ring gives you one free month, after that, you'll need to subscribe for about $40 per year, for each camera, and $100 for three or more cameras. Without the subscription, they will not store the recordings.
Q: How long does a typical charge last? How often will I have to charge the battery?
A: I check mine once a month but and rechargd them, but they have never been under 50% power and they are usually at 75%.

However, the motion-activated lights can be enabled or disabled in the Ring app. When enabled, the lights will turn on when motion is detected.
