I have a few Ring spotlight cams and needed something smaller to cover the front of my home. I decided to purchase this doorbell cam & I've been very pleased so far! Installation & setup was a breeze! Video quality & battery life are both great too! My only complaint is the motion detection sometimes is lagging & doesnt start recording as quickly as it should. I've expanded the detection zones but that hasn't helped. For the price though, it serves it's purpose!

Great security camera once you get the setup right. We had a few issues due to wifi issues and limitations. We have this on the outside of our metal back door. That made it really difficult for it to reach our WiFi. We tried to use a off brand wifi extender and that helped a little bit but wasn't consistent. Once we bought a Chime that resolved the issue completely. We also do not have it hardwired so we have to take it off to charge it. But now that it's not constantly searching for wifi the battery life improved significantly! I really like this. The app is really easy to use and fairly easy to set up. It's great for the piece of mind.

Great device. Make sure to buy during a sale, will drop to 60-70$. I do recommend briefly learning how to install it before buying. By this I mean drilling into the wall and making sure you have the tools and brief knowledge. So, 1. Charge battery(if available)2. Easy set up (with app)3. Make sure to connect to your wifi( I reccomend getting a wifi extender near the front porch). 4. Remove old doorbell and drill on and wire up this one. Be careful. And it works great. Ring app does cost money after 30 days but the security features, rewinding, and access to recordings is worth it and neighborhood section is worth it. Last bit of advise is these cameras do not work without wifi. So please secure your home wifi and periodically view the what are devices connected. Also, if your wifi extender utilizes a wifi SSID different than the SSID of your home wifi, this device will not reroute to the home wifi. So please be should to give the same SSID to all wifi extender networks if possible. And do not misplace that secure screwdriver!

Bad things first: subscription.. Cost is meh and an annual fee is not as bad. $50ish with tax. This particular Ring Cam is only 2.4GHz wireless range so it limited to older wireless tech. Workable. Also Local PD can ask for footage without warrant. "I havent linked it to "Amazon" as that concerns me. Good stuff: Great video, Does as promised. App is great on the phone. I live in a heavily traffic area so I get to see it all. Wired into my existing home wiring so dont have to stress about batteries. Can download caught footage if something is sketchy. Overall: Great little doorbell cam. The subscription price is not bad for what you get and you get features I appreciate. It is only limited by the wireless tech it uses. Otherwise a "best buy"

Our First Smart Doorbell - Sensitive, Privacy Concerns We really like our Ring doorbell. The golden brown, brushed metal look matches perfectly with our exterior house paint and fixtures. It was a little more expensive compared to the Black Friday price ($69.99 versus $60) but we got free shipping - and it was delivered in 3 days so that was awesome. It also has a battery and that worked well when we had a power outage recently. I just happened to replace the doorbell with a 16 VAC, 100 VA transformer and that was a good call because I think this model of doorbell requires 40 VA minimum (I think the transformer we had was something like 16 VA). We had thin moulding around our cheap door so we had to add a wider (2.25) wooden backer first, and we added a few washers on one side to tilt it in the direction of the porch. Not that crazy about the app as it requires your address and personal info to set up a Ring account, which is concerning especially in this day and age. At least one setting (output volume of the Ring, like when you talk to a person at the door) is a little confusing to get to but not bad. The volume and video quality is great (you need to use the Ring app to set up the doorbell first and utilise the wimpy USB cable to connect to it directly). Overall, very satisifed and would recommend. Very happy with B&H with the pricing, delivery and overall website, too. Will be shopping here in the future for sure

So far this thing has been awesome! It has all but stopped the neighborhood vandals as they all see it & know exactly what it is. So as a deterrent it works great! As a security camera it's even better. Massive viewing angle covers almost my entire street end to end. The motion detection has been right on & package detection is great too! If you're looking for an affordable and reliable security device. This is it. NOTE: I added the optional solar charger to mine and it works pretty good. Would work much better if I had more direct sun.

I love this doorbell camera. It looks nice and works well. The battery keeps it charge for almost two months which is nice when you don't have the hardwired option at your home. The image quality is good and it captures people but not every movement from our pets which is also nice.

This is money well spent!!! Good price. Every easy to install. I love that I can watch the front door away from home. I can see if and when I've had packages delivered. Two days after installing the Ring. I was able to see someone trying to open My front door. Good thing we had the outer door locked or he would have been able to come in. As soon as he saw there was a ring cam. His eyes got big and stopped trying the door. I called the Cops and they searched the block for him, but he hid and was not found. I was able to give a copy of the video to the cops and you can see the person face, very well. Cops said, this makes their job so much easier. After that, I began to wonder. How many times someone might have done this before. I am now going to get the cam with the flood lights to watch my drive and cars. Getting the subscription. Is worth the $30 a year for one cam, so you can save all your videos. Oh, I like using it ti watch the bird at the bird feeder eating!

Easy to install. Battery life is beyond awesome(60+ days with recommended setup). Camera was better than expected as it can view 180°. Notifications are both a blessing and curse but you can customize those according to your preference. Live video(with monthly subscription) is better than I realized it could be. You can watch who's there, listen, or talk with them in real time. This feature is perfect for all situations I can think of, i.e., friends, strangers, solicitors. Doorbell feature works well even if just using smartphone, but has an option for using with other products that are readily available. Video capture and record(with monthly subscription) is the reason i like it most when coupled with the quality of the camera recording it. I would rate it higher if i could based on this feature alone. I won't lower the rating for this, but without a monthly subscription, I did receive more than average amount of 'reminders' & notifications.

Good camera and easy to install. I have a mechanical door chime which still works the same. Easy to sync with app. Got this product because my front door doesn't have a peep hole. I was worried the device was too wide but the mounting bracket fit the small wood frame around my door. Motion detection is decent I find videos sometimes don't kick in until someone is close and I miss the initial walk up. I think a different more expensive ring includes preroll but overall a great product!

I've heard and read many reviews about this product. My daughter purchased one for her home and I went to visit one day, when suddenly I heard her voice beforeI I could knock. She said she could see me approaching her door. I enjoyed that feature. During the holidays, I had a couples of items missing from my front door. Luckily they weren't really expensive. Nevertheless I didn't want that to happen again, so I decided to purchase this item and boy, let me say, I'M GLAD I DID! I LOVE IT.. Peace of mind at home and away. With a little humor to end this story, "With this RING! I thee wed :)

So far so good ….. only been about half a day . My porch light is broken & with the help of my neighbor’s light across the “sidewalk “ the video quality is pretty good even at Night. If you’re wondering between the “blink” or the “ring” the video quality of the “ring” is better. If you can afford even better quality “Google nest” but im fine with my Ring.

This Ring Doorbell is working as it should. It keeps my roommates aware and safe on what's happening outside our home. The recordings are clear and the audio feature is nice to have if we need to hear what was said. The app it comes with does have a subscription feature but I think it's pretty worth it. You get to have gif previews of the recording. Another cool thing is the community page, where you can see posts from other people in the same neighborhood as you. I've seen a couple pets being found due to the coordinating from this tab. I would definitely buy more from Ring!

Easy installation. The main doorbell with broken and we could not find a replacement part to get it back in order. We purchased this product with a chime and 10 minutes later had a doorbell. The doorbell Pro seems to have better image quality but the price on this was nice. We decided to go with the pro for our home and so far like it a little bit more. I'm giving this 5 stars because it does what it promises and is a bit lower priced.

I’m loving my ring camera. It allows me to know when packages has been delivered to my door. It gives up dates regarding things going on in my neighborhood. I’ve moved to a new location and evidently there’s a big Coyote problem and I have a small pup. So I’ve taken extra precautions because of the information from other ring customers.
