I bought this for me and it worked great on my KIA Spectra 05. No additional adaptors needed for it. I installed it myself in 5 mins. Then, i got one for my girlfriends KIA RIO CINCO. No adaptors for that either!! Both cars clear and static free!!!

    Awesome

I was just about to give up on Sirius due to the lack of strength by the FM transmitter, then I discovered the direct audio relay. This thing is awesome. Before I would have to turn off my sirius and rely on either "traditional" radio, or CD's whenever I was within 30 miles of DC. Now my Sirius rocks wherever I go. The install was very easy, although my Sirius power plug broke when I disassembled the dash. But this just gave me a reason to revamp my entire install and make all of my wires hidden, just required a trip to the hardware store for some splicing material and an inline fuse holder. Now my reception is crystal clear and I've regained my power plug. One warning though, if you've got a Chrysler you're going to be on the hook for about another $30 for adapters.

Best option available to connect sirius if...

Best option available to connect your Sirius radio to your stereo if A. you don't want any wires showing; B. you don't have an AUX input or don't want to occupy your AUX input, and C. you don't want interference from other radio stations when using the FM transmitter. I wouldn't hook up a sirius any other way as my vehicle has no visible wires, sounds as good as an auxiliary hook-up, and never has interference from any other radio stations. The installation cost was more than was quoted, which is ALWAYS the case with best buy. There's always 2 connectors they "forget" about, but well worth the price.

    Outstanding Adapter

Other than trying to find the car radio removal procedures for my car (2005 Dodge Durango), the FM Adapter install was quite easy. I was able to find the separate cable adapters specific for my car at Fry's Electronics. Sound quality was OK before the install. After the install, the quality is superb. I agree with others that this FM Adapter SHOULD be included with a Sirius radio.

I just got a Stratus 4 for my Mustang and I am the type who can't stand wires anywhere in my interior. When I read the directions about hanging the FM Extender Antenae(FEA) on the windshield I thought there has to be a better way. There is, right here. This little baby will mount right behind your head unit and gives crystal clear reception even on stations that are used. No more truckers knocking your signal off with their bluegrass, no more passing a radio tower and getting static. This is really the cure for all of your lousy reception blues.

This makes the FM modulator work much better. I am in a fringe area and was getting fuzzy signals on the FM modulator. Installing this adapter was easy and definitely improved the reception!!

I got this installed back when I get my satalite reciever installed at Best Buy in South Bend and I couldn't be happier. I have never had any static come through at all compaired to people at work that are using the wireless connection. I would highly recommend this product for anyone that is getting satalite radio and don't want to worry about static!!

I bought the Direct Relay because I regularly travel to both Indianapolis and Chicago for work, and in both cities even the "clear" channels have a lot of static when using the built in FM transmitter on the Sportster 5. I tried to make an appointment for professional installation at Best Buy, but after finding out it would be several days before my local store could get me an appointment, I decided to try it myself. At first I was a bit intimidated because I know nothing about car stereos, but installation turned out to be very simple and only took a few minutes. Simply remove your car's stereo from the dash (you can find instructions by doing a Google search) and attach the adapter into the antenna jack. Then plug the wire into your Sirius radio and put your car stereo back into place. Never have static again. On Friday I took my first trip to Chicago since installing it and was 100% static free. And I'd never realized how much static I was picking up even around home that I hadn't heard before. The one negative, even though it isn't a huge deal is the tenancy for channels to sound "quiet" which isn't a big problem to me, but might be a problem if you like listening to your music loud.

Why didn't I get this sooner?

I had wireless for almost a year and it was fine on the FM presets. Then out of the blue all my presets were very staticky and the one I had been using for over a year, which was still the less staticky one, was picking up an awful country radio station 3 hours away in B'ham, AL! I put up with this for 3 weeks and was miserable. Best Buy in Fayetteville, GA did the install in less than 30 mins. My reception is awesome. Why didn't I do this sooner!?!?!?!?!?!? Now, if only this adaptor could make the Punk Channel come back to Sirius...

I had a sirius radio installed before and the reception was spotty at times. When I came to best buy to have this new radio installed the installer advised me to have this installer and boy was he right it gives us clear and reliable radio reception

Great product for a big city!

I got this because I live in a big city (Atlanta) where there's a radio station on pretty much every frequency. I couldn't stand being able to use one for a couple of miles and then losing it and trying to find another. Plus the quality of the sound was kind of lacking. This little device solved both problems. A little tricky to install, but if you know how to get to the back of your radio it's not really that difficult. Once you've got it in just set one of your defaults and you're good to go!

It took less that 3 minutes to install. No power connections. Just slide your FM radio from the dash, plug in the antenna connectors, slide it back and plug the wire into your Sirius unit. Goodbye static and all intereference.

I strongly recommend wiring the receiver directly vs. wireless. The wireless reception was terrible. I installed this in 10 minutes and have no complaints. The sound quality is so much better than broadcast radio.
