Gaming on the go can certainly make long journeys more enjoyable. A portable device offers a great source of entertainment for passengers. It helps pass the time and keeps boredom at bay during travel. Having access to games can also create a fun and relaxing atmosphere in the car. Such technology provides a welcome distraction from the monotony of the road.

As a father and husband, my gaming time has reduced, especially having to fight for the TV. The PS Portal is a game changer for me. Not only does it work smoothly, but I even take it to my brothers to play some coop online gaming. No need to lug my ps5 around. Ive been so impressed with the quality of the product. Feels like I'm using a ps5 portable (i am technically). The battery life is great as well. So those long ff7 sessions dont get interrupted. Id recommend this to anyone who wants to play while not being stuck to a TV.

I would give it 5 stars, however it does get a little laggy at times due to it streaming from PS5. I LOVE it and it works well for me, however if you are unable to hardwire your PS5 it may not be as fast as you want. I play red dead on it all night after my wife holds the living room TV hostage.

I love the PSPortal. It makes gaming on the go easy. Not only is the controller hand-held comfortable and secure but the graphics and screen quality is out of this world. The latency is beautiful and remote gaming has little to no lag. Also the cloud gaming beta feature is a step in the right direction. Great game list. All in all this was a rightful purchase.

Subject: Review of PlayStation Portal Remote
I recently purchased the PlayStation Portal Remote and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed. The remote is sleek, comfortable to hold, and very easy to use. The buttons are responsive and the overall design is top-notch.
I especially appreciate the convenience of being able to control my PlayStation console from a distance with this remote. It has greatly enhanced my gaming experience and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.
If you're looking for a reliable and high-quality remote for your PlayStation, look no further than the PlayStation Portal Remote. I highly recommend it to all gamers out there.
Happy gaming!

I was lucky enough to get this as a gift and I think it surpassed my expectations. When you have great in home network connections this puppy flies! It feels like playing a game locally and not streaming it. But when you lots of people in your home are using the internet to stream movies, etc, it really bogs down the performance.
This feels really comfortable to play with too compared to something like the Switch. And you get the haptics and trigger effects from an actual Dualsense controller.
Here is hoping we get an actual PSP in the near future!

I was a little hesitant at first with this. I wanted a psp or vita replacement more then a streaming device. With that being said. After owning this for a few weeks now. You can’t really beat the price. $200 for a 1080p 60 fps on a small concentrated screen runs very smooth. One of my favorite features is, that it not only plays digital content you have purchased or through the monthly freebies for having Plus. It plays disks you have inside your ps5. My biggest draw back to this device is that the ps5 has to be reletively close to the portal. Also this is a streaming device so if your internet isnt at least 100-200 mpbs i probably would hold off.

Just got the PS5 Portal for my son!!!
He’s been wanting it for a while—and wow, it’s worth it! The remote play is super smooth, and now he can enjoy his favorite PS5 games anywhere around the house. Total game-changer (literally).

Awesome unit love the fact that when I’m away from home it comes in very handy as long as I have a strong internet connection but now with the new streaming capabilities even if I can’t connect to my PS5 I can still game on the go

I love this device. I've had it since launch and it does exactly what I hoped it would plus more. I had my PS5 setup in my living room collecting dust and now I'm able to get some game time in without interrupting my kids.
This device is heavily dependent on having a solid network infrastructure. If your PS5 is unable to be connected via ethernet, I would avoid buying this product. If you are using the router that your ISP provided you, I would avoid buying this product. Your internet speed has nothing to do with how well this will perform in your home.
My setup:
ISP - Verizon
Speed - 1Gig
Router - eero Pro 6E
PS5 - Connected via Ethernet
PS Portal - Connected to Wi-Fi on 5Ghz

The only limitations which kept it from getting a 5 were:
1. It can only mirror one profile, the main one. I think forethought into that would have made the device a true Switch contender in a number of ways.
2. Wi-fi limitations. I understand needing high bandwidth but, unless you turn off the remote play option on the PS5, you can’t add additional WiFi options such as Hotspot. If you are elsewhere, it won’t even login to give you a chance to choose a separate WiFi or use the Hotspot. That will be a real problem for me when I want to use it when I travel overseas in August 2024.
