Sleek design. Good gaming console but if you have a good internet connection, if not there will be seconds delay in your game.

I have been waiting for Sony to make this product worth while and the new update did exactly that. With the ability to stream games straight from the PS PLUS service, this product has become well worth the purchase. It feels great in your hands and the screen is beautiful! Its the best mobile gaming device by far in my opinion.

I love the portal, I can play video games while hanging out with my family instead of sitting in a completely separate room. The only downside is being shushed when I share the progress of my ncaa player winning championships and entering the draft portal

I love almost everything about this product but the lag was too much for me. I have a wired connection for my PS5 and 500/500 internet and the delay was still pretty severe.

Excellent Sony product! Pairs perfectly with the PS5. Screen is HD and crisp. Games must be uploaded to the PS5 storage. If not, the game disc must be present in the PS5 to play remotely. Highly recommend a quality case and screen protector for the portal since it is a larger handheld device. Highly recommend for the gamer on the go, that does not always have the time to play while at home (or on the family TV).

Great companion for the PS5 system and with the latest update enabling cloud gaming this device has turned into something with a lot more potential.
If you own a PS5 don’t sleep on this portable system so you can enjoy all your games on the road or at home while you are sitting in the kitchen or rocking your little ones to sleep.

This was a Father's Day gift for hubs. He was very excited to get it and hasn't put it down. He said that the game play is smooth and it was very easy to setup.

With the update that allows for streaming without your PS5 on... Magic. It works so well and the portal has a great hand feel. Definitely recommend hardwiring your PS5 if you want smooth connection when remoting but it is so fun when it works well. Direct streaming from Sony works perfectly even on a hotspot with my phone.

I wanted to like it, but just couldn't. I'm a Dad so the thought of this sounded awesome. However, I always felt like I was getting a way lesser experience playing a PS5 game on the Portal vs on my TV. The lag and latency was always terrible. So bad that when I was playing open world game, the background was so blurry I couldn't tell where I was going. Such as on Star Wars Outlaws. There was a significant delay between the controller and the actually gameplay as well. I wouldn't even bother trying to play COD or something similar. Ultimately, I ended up returning it within 14 days after a few attempts of playing a game. Just not the same experience. I live in town, have a 1gbps download speed with a mesh Wi-Fi system along with my PS5 connected via Ethernet to my router so I know it's not a connectivity issue. Also, I have a Switch OLED and the game literally played the same in handled as on the TV since it's not a "remote player" like the Portal. Maybe I had high expectations, but I would rather wait for a dedicated PlayStation handheld or just get a Switch 2 in my opinion.

Phenomenal for people who do not want to game on a big tv or only have limited tvs! I’ve been big on playing single player games on my ps5 recently but the idea of turning on the tv and sitting on the couch gets tough, I can now switch on the portal while laying in bed and my fiancée watches tv and have no issues!

I absolutely love the idea. Great if you don't have a PS5 as well because the cloud has a bunch of PS5 games. Only downside is the benefit exists based on the network where your PS5 is. So if multiple people are on the wifi - you're going to have some quality frame drops. It uses remote play so try your phone and test your wifi first.

This product is good when it works. You definitely need a strong wifi connection, not highly recommended for online multiplayer games because it’s going to have lag, as expected from any streaming. Build quality, sound and image are very good. If you heard about the small analog sticks, it’s not so much like the switch, to me it more just having a longer distance to reach the end of any direction when you move it, which makes it a weird sensitivity learning curve, noticeable difference from the dualsense remote.

Great for those nights when your significant other wants you to go to bed but you're not ready. I love it! Surprisingly smooth, and works great! I wouldn't play competitive shooters with it but it's great for single player games. Does require a pretty robust internet connection though.
