In despite of all tech reviewers, this is a surprisingly good idea from Sony. By capturing the basic need of anyone who owns a PS5 and can barely play on it because you as an owner insists to show it off in the living room. Well, problem solved! It feels like a tied sale, but what the heck? I can now play my PS5 with a fair quality and great ergonomics from the comfort of my toilet. A pity it can’t connect to PS4

We haven’t used this yet, bc it’s a Christmas gift for my son. But we are very excited to see if it lives up to the hype. The concept is great… hope it will execute what we want!

Ive been wanting this for sometime now and I finally got it on a great deal. Theres so many games to play, the graphics are amazing with a great battery life.

After spending real time with the PlayStation Portal, I can confidently say this device fills a very specific niche — and if you fall into it, it’s fantastic. If you don’t, it might feel limited.

I purchased the Portal on release day and ended up returning it after a week. Software issues led to lots of stuttering in games, especially in scenes with lots of panning & motion. Control was nearly unplayable for me on the original system software due to this issue. After a major software update (4.0) I heard these issues had been fixed and decided to give it another try. I'm happy to say that my experience is drastically different this time around. Games run near flawlessly and I don't notice any of the original issues that plagued the system on release. Some open world games with lots of foliage (FFVII Rebirth) may still show slight signs of compression when the screen is in motion, but in terms of response times when buttons are pressed it feels really good. If I had to critique the system, I wish the battery lasted longer and that the controller vibration was closer to the PS5 controllers. The vibration feels less precise overall.

This is the best thing since sliced bread! I Love that I can play on the go and do so many other things from the comfort of my Handheld!!! I Love my PS5 but I also Love my New BFF!!

Great console, is dependent on your internet but it does the work. Great for RPG games and long story games allows for the freedom of movement.

Love that i dont have to be in the living room and can play all arounf the house. gliches sometimes but nothing too bad.

Great overall and solid device. The distance between the portal and console needs to be close to each if your using it from home. The quality will trickle down.

Been a while since I had handheld gaming device, and sony did right by the portal.

Arrived earlier than expected. Box had minor damage, but product inside showed no signs of damage. Device works well.

Awesome device to use when you dont wanna be glued to the TV

Sometimes I just want to lie in bed and play a game. Sometimes I want to play a game when my main TV is being used. For both cases, the portal is brilliant. I'm still shocked at the little amount of lag there is (tiny) and how good the screen looks. It's also lightweight and has good battery. I don't use it outside my house so it might be different in other scenarios.

My son loves the portal , thanks to Best Buy coming thru in the clutch for Xmas.
