I didn't think I would like it as much as I do. It's a very nice light weight device that mirrors your PS5. I work at night and there are lots of quite slow times on my job. The PlayStation portal is perfect in these slow situations. I use my phone as a hot spot and synch it to the portal. It runs perfectly just like I'm playing at home on my desktop unit. I love it!

PlayStation Portal has been a great accessory to my PS5 and has worked better than I expected. I was a little wary of streaming from my console, but I haven’t had any issues. It’s great to be able to play in bed or in another room if my main tv is being used by someone else. I haven’t had a chance to try it away from home using my phone hot spot, but I understand it also should work great that way.

Not a stand alone unit. Must have a PS5. Great for on the road trips.

Really clutch and all the new updates for it have made it better

Love the ability to use it anywhere. Only problem is some connection stability issues depending on your home WiFi strength. Also wish there’s more options for cloud gaming.

I absolutely love this thing. Is it perfect? No, you need a strong wifi or you'll lose image quality, drop frames, or some sound will hiccup. But when it's working it's a wonderful extension to my PS5. I love what they did with the controller part and the lights. It's exactly what I need to get into the smaller less intense games like Octopath Traveler. I definitely recommend to anyone.

Absolutely love my portal. With a stable connection you rarely get any lag Set it up with my phones hot spot and I can game anywhere

Excellent device. A must if you’re having to share the TV. A bonus if you have PS plus premium and play streamed games from anywhere. If it can be helped, make sure to have your PS5 hardwired to your router/modem. Happy gaming!

I got it to use while i was outside of the house . It's a great quality handheld gaming device. But you can't watch movies on it bit other then that the gaming is great

Yes the Portal “only” plays your PS5 games but it does it so well (assuming you have pretty good wifi). So far I’ve only used it at home but I’ve used remote play for years on my phone and iPad. I expect this to be a much better experience once I can travel with it. Only thing I would really knock it for is not having some kind of browser to be able to login on hotel wifi.

I was on the fence on buying this but i should have gotten it sooner. It's a great ad on to the Playstation when you don't want to sit in front of the tv

I really enjoy playing on this device. I van play anywhere with my friends. I like it because I can take it anywhere I go.

Love this device. It feels like you are playing locally versus streaming from another device. The form factor feels great in your hand.

PlayStation Portal is an awesome device if you are in the target demographic. I use this when the TV that my PS5 is hooked up to is being taken by my wife of child. You could use a dual sense and an iPad or pc, but to me it’s way better using the handheld. The one thing I dislike is the lack of headphone support for wireless headphones

I brought this for my boyfriend for Christmas, When I tell you he love that thing so much. He takes this game everywhere.

Need strong WiFi and a premium PlayStation plus account, but if those things are something that isn’t a decision maker. This device is definitely something to get, it’s great for being around the house, or traveling on a hotspot when you need a bit of a gaming fix in .

If you want to use this it takes over your Playstation unless you spend A LOT MORE MONEY to get the MAX PLAYSTATION annual subscription. Got yhis do my wife and i could both play. A second PS5 WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER.
