I was a bit skeptical at first when it came to this device but after having it for a week and a half I’ve enjoyed it. I have yet to test it outside with stable wifi but at home its fun to be able to play and not have to wait for someone to stop playing the nintendo switch. The graphics are impeccable for ps5 games but not as great for non remastered ps4 games. Either way, i’ve enjoyed it!

While this item does exactly what it says it does, I’ve experienced some problems with connectivity. Most of the time it gets resolved by resetting the ps portal, but it’s kind of annoying having to do that every time I wanna use it.

I bought this as an impulse buy, Silent hill 2 was coming out while I had to work, I wanted to play it without it being spoiled, so I bought the portal to play while I was at work. Unfortunately, the PlayStation portal is not what I was hoping for. I was expecting a handheld that could play games properly, while only lagging occasionally. What I actually got, is a handheld that can't do much outside of your house. It would lag consistently during any play session, it didn't matter what I played, could be playing anything from a night in the woods, to re4 and I would lag the whole time. The quality of the screen is good, but it doesn't matter when the portal can't play anything above 720 p. And on top of that, the audio is always crackling and popping, never once have I had the audio playing properly. The hardware itself is nice, the controllers feel good to hold and don't cramp my hands like the Switch's joy cons. The screen looks very good (when it works) and it has an audio jack which is a very underrated feature. Overall, the hardware is flawless, I can't really think of anything negative when it comes to that. However, it does not matter if the product does not work properly, and this does not. Maybe in 5 or 10 years when I can play games without any lag, maybe it would be worth it. As it is, it's not worth 100$, let alone 200$.

The portal is great for my needs. I'm able to play without disrupting any tv time for anyone else. & the use of your PS SUBSCRIPTION is also available.

Very good, i would recommend this to a friend when you don’t feel like turning on the TV and you just wanna lay in bed!

Playing playstation exclusives just got that much better! I've put in over 40 hours of Horizon Forbidden West on here with almost no hiccups. I have an ethernet cable hooked up to the PS5 and only have 20Mbps of upload speed but it's enough for an almost seemless experience. I do experience some resolutions dips when first buffering but have had no disconnects so far.

Absolutely love the playstation portal, When there is great wifi it works like a dream, just need to figure out how to keep my ps5 on from time to time. Still no complaints, a definite great purchase

Is a nice item to have to play PlayStation games on the go. Wish it would hold a internet connect a bit better though

Definitely better than using phone controller like backbone one. The controls and ergonomic is pretty much identical to holding dualsense controller. I am using ax 3000 router with 300mbps spectrum connection, I barely notice any frame drops at all. BUT, i wish it was an OLED screen though, come on sony!

It works great! Just connect to WiFi and I’m able to play the games in console back at home, this is great for kids on the go!

This little device does exactly what Sony says it does…it’s a portable PS5. It’s a nice addition to the ecosystem and haven’t had any real issues accept connectivity in and out when using hotspot but none with WiFi. The kids use it mostly and they seem to enjoy it. It allows them to pretty much be anywhere in the house. Overall a very good investment and highly recommend.

It was a very good product but the reason I rate it a 4 star was because I couldn’t connect my 5G hotspot to it so it was only useable in house WIFI and not hotspot. And it also turned your PS5 on when you are not there. So overall I do not know if it was that only problem with that particular PS portal or my hotspot

This thing is AWESOME !!! As long as you have good WiFi it’s perfect. Even can play games like CALL OF DUty WARZONE. Literally mirrors your ps5 as long as you leave it in rest mode

You don't need a PlayStation 5 to use this portable station. You can purchase the PS premium yearly pass and stream games via Wi-Fi. Zero lag, and it runs smoothly.
