I love it — definitely worth it for travel or gaming on the go. Even if you don’t own a PS5, you can still use it by getting PlayStation Plus. It’s honestly a must-have.

Looks good, but falls short where it matters The display and ergonomics are solid, but the lack of HDR support is puzzling—especially since most TVs and PS5 setups run HDR by default. VRR isn’t needed here, but HDR should have been included. The bigger issue is connectivity. This device only supports Wi-Fi 5, which feels outdated. At minimum, it should’ve shipped with Wi-Fi 6E for smoother streaming. Since the Portal can only stream games (either through your PS5 or PS Plus), network performance is everything—and it simply doesn’t deliver. I ended up selling mine, as I get a much better experience streaming to my PC handheld. Third-party apps let you boost bitrate, and with Wi-Fi 6E the stream quality is noticeably sharper. For $200, this should be the best PS5 streaming device on the market. While the DualSense integration is nice, the shortcomings outweigh the benefits. I cannot recommend this product.

PS5 suffers from the shackles of console gaming. Ur stuck in one stationary location. I have put half a dozens hours on the PS5 vs the hundreds on the Switch. The portal acts as a Nintendo Switch: go where ever, play whenever (strong WiFi required). I’ve had little issues with lag and slow connection, granted I’m near high speed WiFi spots.

I got this PS as a gift for my little brother, and he absolutely loved it. It’s a great option if you have more than one child—one can play on the ps while the other uses the TV. Perfect for keeping everyone happy and entertained.

This system works great. As an adult gamer and a parent, I don't always have access to the tv where the playstation is, hence, this device has definitely changed the way I interact with my device. Since it's basically streaming from your playstation using wifi, it's not always perfect depending on your connectivity, but for the price and what it does, it's a great device.

If you’ve already got a PS5 and have a family that likes to use the tv this is very helpful. Play your ps5 anywhere throughout your house as long as you have Wi-Fi. Also with the new cloud update you can use this bad boy on the go! (If you’re a PSplus member)

This thing is awesome at what it does. The most authentic way to play remotely. You just need fast stable wifi and the right ports opened. Tried to use it at a Marriot and their onsite router had the requisite ports blocked. Had to use wifi hotspot from phone which wasn't ideal.

I don’t have a PS5 console but I can play most of all the latest games via cloud streaming. Love the 8’ inch screen, the colors of the games. The holding of the handheld device is comfortable. It’s also very lightweight. I just wish it had Bluetooth capabilities to use anywhere and able to have better internet connection away from home.

Device runs smoothly and turned out to be better as a gift for the wife. Happy she is enjoying it.

Easy to carry (buy a case). I dont have much time to come home and play on my ps5 but with the psp i’m able to take it to work and get some play time which is cool! Graphics are great too.

I think this product has some very good pros. The screen/sound is great, and the fact you can play games on your console without actually being on your console. Unfortunately, I did have one pretty deal breaking con, and that would be the streaming latency. The streaming latency isn’t always bad and isn’t necessarily horrible, but it is enough to make games not as enjoyable.

I was skeptical at first but this item is actually pretty awesome. I don’t always have access to the tv so this thing comes in handy went I want to game while my wife or kids use the tv.

In general, this seemed pointless … until I got it. Now, I am very impressed with it. It’s lightweight and on my WiFi6 mesh network it’s seemingly without lag. Suddenly I can take the PS5 to another room without physically moving it.

Great for on the go gaming, as long as your PS5 is on! You can also play it without a PS5 if you subscribe to PS Plus Premium (or whatever that tier is). Beautiful quality screen.

Ive had my portal for over 3 months already and i most say i love it. I really like the convenience of chilling in the living room with my family and while they’re watching a movie im keeping up with my games. One thing i would recommend is buying a airfly pro 2 aux bluetooth adapter and just use your ear buds im using my airpods pro2 cuz being able to turn of and on the noise canceling is awesome. Also i would definitely recommend to connect your ps5 via Ethernet for a wayyy more stable connection. Also all your saved data on console back it up in the cloud cuz its usable on games that you can stream. The issues that i have came up with is easily fixable sometimes when i try to remote play on different ps5 it wont connect all you have to do is press and hold the power on the portal till you see restart and that fixes the problem right away. The other is that when im watching something (crunchyroll) on either one of my ps5’s and then try to play a game on the portal it will give a error. All you have to do to fix that is close out any opened video apps before you remote play a game. Other than that its pretty freaking awesome would recommend

Best purchase I’ve made in a while. I love it. Don’t hesitate to purchase this device. I’ve played so many games without needing a PS5
