I love how comfortable this device is but the lack of bluetooth audio support and the frequently fuzzy video/graphics quality ever since my first post-launch firmware update makes this hard to recommend. If the video quality returns to be like how it was near launch it actually would be easy to recommend even without bluetooth audio support. Since it had been better for my home WiFi setup, I expect it to be improved/restored in future updates which is the main reason I haven't returned the Portal. Until such an update fixes my video quality issues I haven't been using it since the quality is too low lately for me to consider it worth playing.

It’s been great for gaming away from the tv. As others might have noted there may be some mirco-stutters and occasional loss of connection, but this usually depends on your internet set up. Hard-wiring your ps5 to the modem usually produces the most stable connection. Also, it might just be me but if I’m not holding the ps portal in a very specific way, then my hands get some pretty nasty cramps. I suggest trying to getting hands on with one first before purchasing to make sure it feels comfortable for you.

Great looking device, sleek, lightweight and looks amazing. Downsides would be it only has streaming services so you are at the mercy of your connection and lag/latency issues. No twitch shooters or frame perfect fighters on here

Sony continues to be unable to impress with their handheld options. The PS is so great that I keep hoping they can nail a handheld system, but this is not it. We got it for my daughter for Xmas and the connection was glitchy, the screen images were subpar and the whole experience was laggy if that makes sense. At under $200, it’s not terribly expensive, but if you’re hoping to be able to play your PS5 games outside of your house or even in another room in your own house, don’t hold your breath that this is going to be what you hope it will be, it isn’t.

Its an excellent remote player. I like it better than using my phone or tablet. Sony deciding not to add bluetooth capabilities is a head scratcher but there are ways around it. The screen is vibrant and large enough to enjoy gaming on the go. I've used this with my hotspot and other wifi away from home and aslong as the wifi is strong enough it works great with minor frame drops. Battery life is decent and lasts longer with some minor tweaks to settings. Pricing is where it should be. Overall a great item that does what its intended to do very well, with some minor issues that are easily remedied.

Having little to no time to myself and not being able to get to my man cave the Portal gives me a chance to game from time to time. I hardly notice any difference in graphics and the haptics are just as good as the PS5 controller.
The only drawback is the reliance of WiFi, but I knew that going in. There are times when it is very laggy. Also, some spots in my house don’t have great WiFi connectivity. As long as you have a strong WiFi network. You shouldn’t have any problems

for casual playing its very nice but for competitive player like warzone you, will feel the lag sometimes and picture went blur here and there because of the wifi instability, even though mine is wired eternet
