I bought a open box excellent, when i received the device it functioned great but had a ton of scratches, came with a random iphone cable not usb c, and was dirty. I promptly returned and got my money back. I decided to just send back and order new. Be careful with the open boxs, only buy if you view in person.

It is an excellent device if family members often use a TV connected to a PS5. Runs the games installed on the PS5 via RemotePlay. There is no lag with PS5 connected with the cable to the router. Very light and ergonomic, I can play for 2-3 hours without fatigue lying on a couch or in bed. The only drawback is no Bluetooth connectivity, so either wired headphones or new PS earbuds.

In my honest opinion, I felt PlayStation missed the mark a little bit…start off with the screen. It would’ve been amazing if it was a OLED screen and higher refresh rate, which will make playing online AAA games more enjoyable, hopefully the next gen will provide one. I wish I came with LTE option. it’s a bit a nuisance defaulting your PS5 settings i.e 1080p and other settings to accommodate the portal. Hopefully, the next update can take care of the annoying step. Overall, i feel that Playstion has a great idea and can make big improvements with the next version of the Portal. I will recommend it for those who would like to play games aside from their television gaming monitor. I was just saying don’t get your hopes up in terms of your expectations. as I stated earlier device but slightly missing the mark. Hopefully my review makes sense.

It’s a really cool device. The biggest problem is they’re still going to be an input delay in the matter what you’re playing because you’re streaming I have pretty good Internet and even still there was noticeable delay when playing games like Minecraft and call of duty.

Imagine you got kids, or young siblings or simply dont have access to your tv at that very instant and you pull out this PlayStation portal! You layback on yoir couch and slay away, while your kids watch pepa pig or your wife/gf watch selling sunset. Either way you’re gucci. The screen looks amazing? Havent had any problems with lag yet. Judge for yourself. Good lick getting one before christmas.

Great remote player, have used PS remote play on my iPhone and the backbone device and was never satisfied with the gameplay. The PS portal has a great 8” screen and feels just like the PS controller. Took some getting used to but it’s my go to device when I’m away from the house. Plus pretty much twice the cost of a backbone it’s a great value.

Honestly I was skeptical and I wasn’t truly going to get one until Bestbuy had the option but I’m blown away by this thing. You can use it over any WiFi connection, I use it at a friends since we’re playing the same games and it’s been a life saver. If you can afford one and travel or just have a lot of people in the home this is absolutely a solid purchase.

This is an interesting concept, but one that doesn’t seem like was taken to the point of perfection. There are a lot of hiccups with this system. After you get it set up (a time-consuming process considering the updates you have to do), you then have to know to go in to your PS5 and turn on “allow remote play” and “stay connected to the internet” in order for this to work. There’s really no directions for all of this—I had to Google troubleshooting measures to figure this out. Once you finally get it all set up, things work OK most of the time. However, every so often, the picture will momentarily scramble and freeze, and if you’re at a critical point in your game, it can really mess up your gameplay. I have the highest speed internet my cable system offers, so it’s not a problem with my connection. It just sort of feels like this went to market when it was “almost” ready for release. When it’s working, it works well, but If these freeze-ups are causing me lives in my game, I’d rather just wait and play on my PS5 and large monitor.

it is many good and bad on this. you will definitely need stable internet on both ends, due to lag issues or connectivity. my PS5 is connected for best performance. please read up on youtube to be sure this is the purchase for you.

I use it more than I though I would. The latency I get is not good enough for FPS like COD however it is great for other games. I’ve used it both in the house and out the house. And it works. Unfortunately it doesn’t have a browser, so far I havent find a way to conect to a hotel wifi when they use the captive portal page. It works using the phone’s hotspot. So far im happy with it

I love everything about the PlayStation 5 portal. I enjoy gaming comfortable on my portal anywhere, because sitting in front of my tv all the time in order to play my game kind of sucks so im Sony came up with their brilliant ideas usual. I also want to say bestbuy is the best site to order electronics and etc.

This device is horrible. I have yet to be able to use it more than 15 with out the connection dropping. If I could give it a zero, I would. I had high hopes. Doesn’t matter what type of connection is made it drips. Unplayable. I want my money back. How can they still sell this device. We need a class action lawsuit.

For standalone games this is a nice little device. But for it's intended use of playing games through your PS5 it is far too glitchy to be useful.
