Much better than the A10 and Oslo Sleep
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the original standard of the Bose Sleepbuds. I loved them. But they eventually failed. Best Buy gave me credit back on my purchase and i bought the Soubdcore A10 as they were really the only option available. They were OK but the life of the battery was horrible. Maybe 5-6 hours. Then there were two possible solutions on Kickstarter. The Bose engineers left and started a company called Oslo and their first product Oslo Sleep. They are over $250 in price and I backed the project in fall 2023. They finally arrived in April 2024. During this extended wait the Soundcore A20s were announced and also a Kickstarter for about half the price. Very similar features and they arrived within days on the Oslo Sleep. Functionally i prefer the A20. They stay in sleep mode all night and the battery life had been greatly improved. Whereas the Oslo will jump out and back into sleep mode, which usually wakes me up.

Very uncomfortable
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Soundcore Sleep A20 Bluetooth Earbuds are advertised as being designed for sleep. Just not for me. The earbuds have a charging/storage case that I found to be too slippery and cumbersome to handle. It comes with an incredibly short 10 inch charging cable making it fairly useless for me. There are 3 sizes of what are called wings and tips that slip onto the earbuds so you can get a comfortable fit. However, the actual body of the earbuds are oddly shaped and stick out of the rubber cover putting pressure on parts of the small flaps of my ears. Ouch! The Soundcore has the ability to connect to an app that had multiple white noise selections that help with relaxing so you can sleep and it also monitors your sleep to give you stats. I much prefer podcasts or music to fall asleep but I did give a quick try to a few of the sounds. I was less than satisfied with the "white noise" selections for sleep mode because most all were water based. The windchimes one was ok. Soundcore does allow you to use the earbuds as you would any other earbud through bluetooth. To configure the earbuds in a variety of ways, not to mention downloading new firmware, you must connect to the app. The buds have the capability of being tapped to adjust sound level for music or to switch to sleep mode. I am a side sleeper and I found the buds to be uncomfortable. The buds were cutting in, out and echoing when I rolled over. The simple act of resting my hand or arm near my ear changed/turned off settings. I had to go into the app and turn off all the tap settings so they didn't accidently trigger. I tried 5 nights in a row, but a can't wear these for sleeping. They are fine as just earbuds for an hour or so for music but I have to remove them because the hardness of the buds hurt my ears. In addition they tell you how all sound is locked out. I found it to be quite the opposite. It seemed like it made the outside even louder. I did try a different combination of the wings and tips. Nothing helped. These buds are advertised as Sleep earbuds. I've been on a quest for the perfect sleep earbuds. These didn't qualify. The search continues.
