The TomTom, however is still a good GPS to buy.

TOO different to previous versions, not that logical in search function. Yes it brings me to the destination but with more steps to get to the start of driving.

Not Happy

I had to upgrade my data plan on my cell phone for the "Free Lifetime Traffic". The traffic app kills my battery in my iPhone before the end of a work day. Entering an address into the search is frustrating. What happened to the old way of entering a state, zip code or city, street and number. I don't need a internet search for the address I am looking for. The traffic doesn't show up till I am already stuck in it for miles and I have Verizon 4G LTE cell service so it's not my internet provider that is slow. It is very hard to remove from the windshield mount and there is no case available for the 6" screen unit. I think this will be my last Tom Tom. They have tried to make their product better and it is not! When I registered this device on my account I had to remove my old device from My Drive Connect, so I cannot update the old one anymore.

It is unfortunate that the TomTom Go 60 S is not able to live up to your expectations. I would like to comment on some of the issues you raised in order to improve your experience with the device.
We have tried to simplify the process for searching by allowing different methods to search for destinations. This means you can search based on zip codes, addresses and towns in the entry bar. When you search the results will be divided into two columns, with the left being addresses and cities and the POIs’ on the right side. Clicking on these suggestions will allow you to select; show on map, add crossroad or drive to that location.
As for traffic - we have chosen to make live traffic the standard for our new devices as the coverage is substantial compared to RDS-TMC on some of the older models. However to receive live-traffic a smartphone connection is needed.
Regarding your concern about the data usage on your mobile phone, we have tested the app extensively and on average if you drive for one hour per day during peak time traffic, you will use approximately 7 MB of data per month. As for issues regarding the mount and being stuck in traffic I find it hard to comment on as I do not have enough information. Based on other reviews, I purchased this GO 60 and expected it to work as good or better than my prior model. The operating system is different and I found it to NOT be user friendly. Also, the graphics appeared "washed out" . Took it back to BB and exchanged it for a Garmin 2597LMT . Happy now!
