Did they not test it before putting it on the market! The older versions were way user friendly. Even the location of the on/off switch is terrible! I wished I read the reviews first. Now I will say the applicator for the window has greatly improved.

It is true that there have been quite a number of changes made to the interface in comparison to previous generations; however, we have found that once users get used to the new interface, they grow to like it better than the previous iterations. Love the size of the screen every turn and direction was clear and the speed was displayed and I could actually see it u like like my 3 year old model smaller in size. The voice was a nice feature along with the blu toioth. What can I say all the features worked .

It has been dummied down in the software and I just don't understand that. The maps and pop ups aren't what I expected either. This is the first TomTom I had to have hooked up to my iPhone via BlueTooth and I did not like that either. Sorry, but I would not recommend this one if your expecting the same bells and whistles as previous models. I took this TomTom back after a week of use and went back to the Via model

It is unfortunate you decided to return it before getting to know it better as we have found that people tend to like it better than older models. Regarding traffic-we stand by our decision to make real-time TomTom Traffic the new standard for traffic quality on our devices. RDS-TMC might be sufficient sometimes but we believe the difference in coverage and accuracy is very substantial. Our research also showed that the majority of drivers already have a smartphone and a data connection they can share with the device to automatically get real-time TomTom Traffic - free of any subscription costs. We've also done a great deal of testing to make sure the load on the phone's battery and data connection is very low so as not to incur high extra costs for users. We will also be adding more features and functionality to the device based on feedback from customers.

After the latest software update, it left the volume at a whisper and we were unable to hear any instruction. The only thing the customer service suggested was to check back in a couple weeks for an update. Not good. We were driving to Florida and needed a gps. Get a Garmin. They are better.

This however for the 2 days it was used was very good.

I have 5 in different vehicles and if you can operate one you can operate any of them. Also did not like how it used my data. I exchanged it for a Garmin with voice command and love it.

It is true that we redesigned the interface and menu of the new generation of our devices. We aimed to make them as intuitive as any other of our old devices. Regarding the data usage, it is indeed the case that you need to pair the device to a smartphone and that the device requires data usage in order to access the life-traffic functions.

I don't like that you can't change the arrow icon to something else and the voices are limited. The battery life is good and the blue tooth feature is nice. Not for beginners.

What sets it apart is the ability to add locations from an app on my phone or from any internet browser. I use it for work and am adding several stops every day so being able to add them with ease gets a big A+ from me...

Less information on the screen as well.
