Easy to use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to use, I like all the different voices you can chose from, you can use the app on your phone to enter your destinations, the only think I don't like is that I need to be connected to my phone for live traffic, I got the GPS so I wouldn't have to use the data on my phone so that is the only down fall but over all its very nice!

I love that I can enter an address in my phone, send the destination to my GPS and when I get in my truck, it's already to go. I would tell anyone that's looking to purchase a GPS to check this one out.

New product uploaded seemingly better than previous, but still took a while, yet on activation it said not enough memory. How TomTom engineers can put a new product on the market without enough memory has me puzzled. Otherwise, a great product.

Posted .Thanks for the review, Joe! You've mentioned you didn't have a enough room to update the system. I'm really sorry to hear that. Although we do have a handy SD card slot, when you are limited for space we have some alternative update options to avoid the use of a card. For example you can install the map without 3D buildings which will be much smaller. It only means that in major cities you won't have the buildings appear on the map. t's typical for our devices to ask for a bit more room for the update. Map files are growing in size very rapidly because we continue to improve the quality of our maps, which eventually creates larger files, we'd hate to compromise on quality! The options seem limited on this model, the screen is a great size but it is not bright enough for daylight driving. I have it on brightest setting and it is only half at best what it should be. I am not very happy with this model at all. Another issue I have albeit possibly not warranted is that you need to hook your smartphone to it through Bluetooth to get the features such as traffic updates etc.

I'm sorry to read that you have not found the device as intuitive as previous devices. We have found that over time, once users get used to the new look TomTom, they tend to like it better. I am sorry to read that the TomTom GO 60 S was not to your liking.We have tried to simplify the search process by allowing different types of search (addresses, zip codes, POI’s etc.). This way the user is able to avoid having to select multiple search options. To find more information about the icons or the function please go to page 15-20 of the user guide. This unit is easy to use and has most of the features that are needed. Unit software is pretty fast compared to others.
