||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this is the worst gps ever if you do not have a compatable smart phone and unlimited data do not buy. in order to get traffic updates you need to install their app on both phone and computer and have your phone on to get the updates and that will use your data. if you do not have a smartphone you are out of luck

I apologize for the experience. BestBuy.com says “Traffic Updates via smartphone” and the packaging of the GO states that it is "smartphone connected'. I'm sorry it was not immediately clear that this meant you had to use your phone's data connection to receive the traffic. Seeing that most of our customers have a smartphone with a data connection and we manage to deliver high levels of both road coverage and accuracy without the burden of subscription cost, we firmly stand behind our decision to make real-time TomTom Traffic available via smartphone.

Posted .Hi Sterling, Thanks for the feedback. These models should take 30-45 seconds to boot up in most cases. If yours takes longer try giving it a Soft Reset - Hold the On/Off button until you hear a Drumroll sound, letting go as soon as the drumroll starts. It will fully reboot (around 60 seconds) but should be faster after that. Regrading the Audio and streets you've passed, we want to provide as much useful info as we can while you drive, but we have to be careful not to become a distraction too. That's why we keep the audio messages to the essentials.

Posted .hello, I'm sorry to read you are not satisfied with the GO. This version is the most basic of the range and thus has a resistive screen instead of the capacitive (same as those on smart phones). On a resistive screen you need to apply a little more pressure to enter your values. I hope this helps.
