It was a great unit so I did not hesitate buying another Tom Tom. Intuitively, the commands no longer make no sense. This map version is horribly outdated by not showing year old construction zones, correct speed limits, and new streets. Don't use it in DC or you will drive into buildings. The map directions often seem like they are for bicyclists not a motorist who needs the fastest route between points A and B. Hopefully Tom Tom will release an updated operating system and accurate maps.

Posted .Hello. Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review but I’m sorry to hear how disappointed you feel with your upgrade. I’d really love to discuss this further with you to start to try resolving a lot of the problems you have been having.
Firstly you’ve mentioned you are having problems with the usability of the product. This new device is from our fourth generation and we did undertake a complete re-vamp of the user design on our products. We of course create and test these products with you guys in mind, we want them to be user friendly and you should feel comfortable using them. If you have anything in particular you want to pass on as feedback please do let me know. We always welcome feedback here. However, for you to test the usability we need to make sure you’re no longer having problems with outdated information on your maps (construction zones, speed limits etc). I appreciate when you left us a review it was a while ago (sorry about that), so really what I’d like to check with you is if you are still having these problems? It’s common to receive a device with some outdated information, due to manufacture and distribution time, but once you get it linked and updated everything should be up to speed and ready to go. If in the case, you’re not sure how to get it update or you’ve updated and you still feel as though there are some issues please do let us know.
