- A: AnswerHi burntrubber, thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, no. Currently, the BRAVIA Acoustic Center sync mode of the HT-A9 is only compatible with 2021 BRAVIA TV models such as the Z9J series, A90J series, A80J, and X95J series. However, you can still connect your A9G TV via HDMI ARC/eARC connection to output the sound from your TV to the HT-A9. Hope this helps! -Sam

Q: Questionwill the speakers work as well in rooms with a vaulted ceiling as a flat ceiling?(5 answers)
A: AnswerYou are looking to have ideally 9ft ceilings to get the most of the atmos upward firing effect, it will still be there with other room types but just won’t be as noticeableAnswered by Genryu
- A: AnswerThank you so much for the question, JohnB. Absolutely, yes! You can output the TVs sound to the HT-A9 by connecting the HDMI ARC/eARC port of the TV to the HDMI out ARC/eARC (Audio Return Channel/Enhanced Audio Return Channel) port of the system. You can also hear the sound of the connected device (PlayStation) on the HDMI input port of the TV to the system. Additionally, you can enable the Control for HDMI function (“BRAVIA” Sync) of our HT-A9. This enables you to interlock the speaker system operation such as power on/off or volume adjustment with your TV remote control. - A: AnswerI have a Bravia and LG 7.1 eARC Soundbar in one of the room. The TV & LG Sound have eARC but the display LED shows ARC when switching to Atmos content, Bluetooth. No issue on movies and any streaming content. Seems like an LG labeling thing? Bravia to HT-A9 works seamless.

Q: QuestionIs this product dual voltage? Can it be used in America and in Europe?(2 answers)
A: AnswerHi Afromann999, Thank you so much for your inquiry! The HTA9 will support Dual voltage 120/240 power. I hope this helps. The HT-A9 immerses you, your family and friends in a multi-dimensional experience that takes movies and music to a whole new level. Regards, CarlAnswered by SonyListens
- A: AnswerI don’t see any reason it has to be near the projector screen. The only thing limiting the distance would be the length of the hdmi cable.

- A: AnswerHi JohnnyNeat, Thank you for your showing your interest with our Sony product. Unfortunately, no. The HT-A9 360 Spatial Sound Mapping Dolby Atmos®/DTS: X® Home Theater System doesn't support two wireless subwoofer connections. We can only connect one subwoofer 200W wireless subwoofer (SASW3) or 300W wireless subwoofer (SASW5) to the unit. However, you can take your HT-A9 experience to the next level with Sony’s optional subwoofers SA-SW3 or the SA-SW5 which allows you to customize and tailor how much extra bass you want to add to your setup. These subwoofers automatically pair to the HT-A9 for seamless and easy setup. - Kris

Great wireless home theater system!
I orignally purchased the A7000 along with sw3 sub and rs5 rear speakers. My living room is a open layout connected to the dining area. While I enjoyed this setup with great center cannel dialogue and rear atmos speakers, it wasn’t as immersive as i expected which I belive is due to my open room layout(understand sound bars will never provide true front separation) Missing a side wall to reflect acoustics doesn’t fully utilize the A7000’s abilities. Those with smaller rooms and side walls could have a better experience. After much research, HTA9 seems to fit the part, better front separation. While, these systems can never replace a true HT Setup, it really serves its purpose and provide more flexibility to without wires. Sound quality is fantastic and with the right content, you really feel the full immersion. It’s as if you are wearing a headset. The phantom center does a great job at simulating the center channel but this would be the only negative. Ive paired this with my A80J as the center channel which is certainly helps with center dialogue. This will be personal preference based on how it sounds. Between the sw3 and sw5 sub, the latter provides deeper bass and wider range to suit your needs. SW3 at level 10-12 is equivalent to a 3-4 on the SW5. If you live in a small apartment, recommend the SW3, other wise go for the Sw5.

When its works its magic
I think that this speaker system when working well is magic. The sounds of individual raindrops can be heard in a storm. It is however still prone to drop outs between the front 2 speakers. And quite a few sometimes.

Amazing when it works, but buggy
The sound and immersion are great - huge step up from any soundbar. Be prepared for frequent trips into the setup menu to re-calibrate the wireless connection between the speakers. It seems like I need to do this every time I use it, but once done it typically gets me 3-4 hours of uninterrupted movie watching/music listening before it needs to be done again. Seems that Sony is aware of these issues, since they included an insert that is the first thing you see when you unbox (see attached photo).
