Q: QuestionIs there an outdoor mesh device that could be used to work with the deco system?
Asked by WT.
- A:Answer I created a dry box with an old plastic ammo can, a whole saw and some aquarium acrylic to seal the whole I made. Been running 2 m5 decos outside for a few years.

Q: QuestionI have a TP-Link Archer AX73 router that provides WiFi & wired connections to my non-wireless devices. How would I integrate the Deco X90 units with my AX73? Can they just be placed at the far end of the house or does one need to be plugged into the AX73?
Asked by Robert.
- A:Answer Hi! At least one Deco unit must be connected to your existing Archer AX73 network via Ethernet cable. The remaining Deco units can then connect to the primary unit via Mesh or Ethernet, depending on your preference. Please note the Deco X90 supports both Router Mode (default) and Access Point Mode. Please be sure to select the operating mode that best suits your network needs.

Q: QuestionI currently have a mesh network with tp link deco m5 and I want to extend it with deco X90. Are they compatible?
Asked by JCS2110.
- A:Answer You would want to redo your network with the X90 as the primary router (or at least primary wifi node) and then add the Deco M5 units onto the network after that. Otherwise you will not get the higher speeds in the areas covered by the X90 units.

Q: QuestionWill the Deco X90 software let you change the MTU packet size?
Asked by Eskimosand.
- A:Answer Hi! The default MTU value of the Deco is different according to the WAN connection type. There is no option on the Deco app to change the MTU settings at this time.

Q: QuestionI have an existing TP-Link router with several range extenders (RE505X and RE300). Would the range extenders be compatible with the Deco X90 in a mesh setup? I currently use OneMesh to keep them all on a single network.
Asked by TheMorningLine.
- A:Answer Hi! OneMesh and Deco Mesh are separate ecosystems and cannot directly integrate with each other via Wi-Fi. That being said, you can still use the RE505X and RE300 as universal Wi-Fi extenders; however they will not be able to operate in OneMesh mode with a Deco Mesh system.
