Getting through the firewall was impossible without running cables outside so I was forced to use existing cable that was not long enough. The first hub from the router feeds 3 devices and connects to the second hub which feeds 4 more.

locked up initially-Had IT person fix-fine since

I wish that it didn't have the initial lockup. Luckily I bought new computers and the IT guys were already here so there was no additional cost otherwise I would have been more upset if there were additional costs from an IT company. PS-I am pretty tech savvy too
