Q: How long does it last before charging?
A: I have to recharge after vacuuming with it for 2 days. I have about 1000 sqft I vacuum.
A: I don't think you can get a replacement battery for this. I always get the extended warranty on any battery charging device. This will give you the reassurance that your device will keep going.
A: There would have been an extended, enhanced warranty (Geek Squad Protection) offered at the time of checkout for the product, which would have covered battery issues - I was offered one tonight when I checked out with my own. Also, there is also a standard warranty issued by the manufacturer, which covers manufacturer's defects, which is what you describe it as being.
Q: how is this unit charged and can it be wall mounted
A: Hi Joanbos - there is a wall outlet plug that connects to the hand vacuum to charge. It is not designed to be wall mounted.
Q: If i lose the charger will a laptop charger work?
A: That's a great question however we only recommend using the Bolt charger as other charges could damage the battery, not fit, or not charge the machine.
Q: Will this work on hardwood floors?
A: Absolutely. In fact it is not designed to work on Carpets. It will work on some low pile rugs. But is excellent for hardwood floors and tile.
Q: will it pick up pea size dog food
A: Yes
A: I had the same problem with the device. The first quit on the first day, the second did the same thing after a couple of uses. Take it back to the store and ask for a manager. Clearly this is a problem and Best Buy should deal with Bissell, not ask Best Buy customers to deal with Bissell.
