A: No, this monitor has a HDMI 1.4 port.
A: Go into the menu and turn off deep sleep mode. Mine did the same thing and it is common to hear complaints about this feature. Other than that, it's a very fast panel I use for FPS gaming.

Q: Hi I was just curious about what was wrong with it original in order for it to be referbished
A: I have no idea but this unit has been used and sent back to me with empty wrappers inside of it fingerprints all over the screen and certainly did not look like it had any care of somebody taking the time to clean it up and also was missing the display port cable which was clearly mentioned I would be getting
