A: For remote firing, press the left of the two middle buttons under the LCD screen until you see S1 or S2 appear. Now, when any other flash fires in the area, this flash will also fire. S1 is for if the triggering flash is in a manual mode and will flash only once. S2 is if the triggering flash uses a TTL mode or other pre-flash, so the Sunpak will ignite the pre-flash and fire when your shutter is opened.

Neewer TT560 Flash Speedlite for Canon Sony Nikon Panasonic Olympus Pentax and Other DSLR Cameras, Digital Camera Speedlight with Standard Hot Shoe

The Speedlite EL-5 is a newly designed flash that receives many features from the flagship Speedlite EL-1 while also including modern features all its own. Two popular features found in the EL-5 are the modeling lamp and the use of the high-capacity LP-EL rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack. The modeling lamp aids the photographer in seeing the effect of the flash’s light emission, including providing an idea of how shadows will fall on a subject. With this battery pack, and firing at full 1/1 manual flash power, the Speedlite EL-5 emits a guide number of 60m/169.9ft @ 200mm (at approx. ISO 100) with the ability to recycle to full power in just 1.2 seconds, and with the potential for up to 350 full power flashes being possible on a single battery charge. To improve working with the Speedlite EL-5 the joystick and select dial from the EL-1 are featured making operation easy, so adjustments can be made quickly, while shooting. Additionally, the new Multi-function connector at the EL-5’s “foot” enables advanced communication on multi-function shoe equipped cameras1 providing more customization and control to be shared between the flash and camera. **Important: because of the transition to Canon’s Multi-function accessory shoe, please be aware that Speedlite EL-5 cannot be mounted or used on Canon cameras with other accessory shoe designs.

It's HEAVY. I definitely do bit suggest you carry around at all times. It's great flash for the price, has amazing features on it. It's heavy, so I suggest only bring it if you intend to shoot at night. It eats through AA batteries. I believe I used it once for a shoot and the battery light came on

I bought this for taking my daughter’s outdoor senior portraits. It worked great! There are multiple intensity settings which are easily adjusted. There is also auto I believe, but I used the manual. I haven’t been able to play around with it too much, but I feel like this is a great flash for the value. It even has a little flap that you can use with the flash pointed up or away from your subject to try to diffuse the light a bit. I tried this but it didn’t do much being outside. That feature is probably better used for indoor photography. The only thing I’m not too crazy about is the use of batteries. I kind of wish it was rechargeable, but that’s a minor detail. Again, I’ve only used it once so far for senior portraits. It lasted the entire session, or a couple hundred photos. Not sure how much life is left on the batteries, but I will just have to remember to always have spares with me when I go on a shoot. Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase. I was considering a different type that had different color settings, but I chose this one because it was cheaper and I felt like I could maybe figure something out with this flash to get different color flash (colored glass/plastic maybe?). I have a Nikon Z5 camera.
