Pre-Owned iPhone 8 with 64GB Memory Cell Phone (Unlocked)
I received the phone and was super excited. It looked like it was in perfect condition! When I turned it on, the screen had all kinds of lines going through it, like a plaid pattern but on my phone screen (meaning the LCD is no longer connected to the logic board, a sign of water/other damage). It's not completely debilitating to the phone, everything is still useful and works perfectly, but the display is certainly annoying. I wish they would have inspected the phone for this issue before shipment.
Bought an unlocked preowned iPhone 8 because my prior cell finally died. I did checkout other outlets like Amazon, Back Market, Walmart & Target. Best Buy had the best value AND the ability for me to pickup the same day. The phone was ready for me and it took less than 3 minutes to be on my way.
The phone is in decent condition visually. The back has zero scratches or dings. There is a small scratch in the center of the front screen but barely noticeable especially with a screen protector. It disappears when the screen is on.
Everything appears to work as it should. Camera and video are perfect. It charges well with port as well as wirelessly. The speakers sound good and no issues with calls: I can hear them and they can hear me. The only complaint I would have is the battery health is at 89%. Still not terrible.
I had no problems setting the phone up. I picked a new carrier at this time too and had no issues setting that up either. It is a GSM and CDMA phone so I can pretty much take it to any carrier.
I ended up purchasing another a week later and that one is in even better condition. Virtually no scratches anywhere and 100% battery health.
I would continue to buy preowned phones I’m the future.
I gave 1 star because of 3 reasons
1) I didn’t get at least apple charge. With the charger I got in the package it is charging very slow.
2) Scratches are there on back of the phone.
3) Finally, I thought I’d return this product and get another one. For that Best Buy is charging me $45 restocking fee, which is pathetic.
I wouldn’t suggest anyone to buy this or any pre-owned product from best but, because it doesn’t state or looks same as they put in pictures.
It's an awesome phone. Perfect size' just what I wanted, Took it down to my phone provider (Verizon) They intern installed the sim's card to activate. The phone would get service with 3bars then go to no service. They tried everything to get it to work. I settled for an iPhone 7 instead of an iPhone 8. Costing me an additional $84.52. No I'm not very happy now but at least I have a phone
I knew this phone wouldn’t be new. The battery is at about 82% which means it is already well used. I don’t think that battery is going to survive two extra years. The old phone, iPhone 6, that I just replaced, has less scratches than the new one, which I just bought. Well, they say you get what you pay for. The only question why did I, a guy, buy a rose gold phone?(smiley)
Drove about 50 miles to pick up at Bestbuy was hoping web site was correct as they were not taking calls. I got there and the first guy I talked to, told me they don’t have any used iPhones in stock, luckily another sales person heard our conversation and said he would go look. After about a 5 minute wait he came back with the iPhone and it was in very good condition and works just fine. Thanks second guy at Bestbuy for making my 50 mile trip worth it.
A:AnswerYes, one year according to the warranty company and I had to use it unfortunately. There’s a warranty card that comes with instructions and the phone number to the warranty company. Make sure you keep this card because the Best Buy employees at the store have no idea and will be zero help trying to help you track down this information. My phone came defective but because it was
outside the 14 day return policy (I had the phone for 20 days) Best Buy would not exchange it and the employee refused to help me obtain the phone number stating it was now “my issue”
