You will love this TV!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is everything I hoped for and expected. Still wondering why I didn't buy it sooner? Picture quality - The HDR & Dolby Vision is supberb - it automatically activates on support content. The brightness is extreme, but not overpowering. Watching dark movies, you can actually see the shadowy figure in the sea of black. Animated content looks AH-mazing and surreal. Gaming - My Xbox Series X was sad without a 4K TV to show off its true power. Wow - does this TV give it that opportunity. Game Mode is amazing to make picture tweaks, adjust brightness, refresh rate, HDR, all with simple to find controls and on-screen info. Games look crisp and amazing. Sound - dude - turn this thing up past 15 and you'll be immersed in room filling audio that is crisp and clear. The various audio settings nail it - from Speech to Dynamic to Late Night Movie, its spot on. Ease of setup - this comes in a very large box. Find a friend to help you. We had it delivered by the Best Buy Pros and they dropped it right where I needed. With a few screws into the adjustable base and a gentle hoist, setup is easy. Be careful not to pinch it. Remote &UI - love the integration of GoogleTV. It's easy to use, knows what content I like, seamlessly belnds all my apps and streaming services. The remote even controls other ARC devices. A+++ Ports - 4 HDMI total with 2 144hz+ HDMI inputs, yes! USB galore to power your various streaming sticks and such. Easily accessible and clearly labeled. This is an AMAZING TV that does all the things I need/want for a fraction of the price. You will love it!

Best TV that I've ever owned
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an amazing 75 inch QLED Smart TV. The picture is super bright with vibrant colors that pop out at you. Plenty of Hdmi ports. Gaming on the PS5 couldn't be better and yes it does 120 fps 4K at 120Hz resolution with PS5 gaming. The sound is really good with the built-in subwoofers so you really don't need a soundbar. This set is above average. Best TV that I've ever owned.

Hisense U8K 75"
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just want to say I'm very impressed with this tv. Colors are amazing, brightness can probably blind you lol, and the 144hz is solid. I put it to the test running my 4080 gpu, playing msfs and modern warefare 3. Absolutely no complaints. Oh may I add the sound this tv provides with built in subwoofer is overkill but I love it. Hisense is killing the competion with its flagship U8K series!!! I think there are people that want to game on these tv's and this allows just that whether you own a console or a pc. Absolute winner!!!

So far, so good!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m giving this 5 stars mainly because you won’t find a better TV for the price and it does deliver a superb picture that rivals most “bigger name” brands. I was on the fence between this and the Sony X90L (which isn’t even mini LED) mostly because of how well Sony is known for their processing (this thing is no slouch, though) and my old Sony’s still work quite well. But I liked the fact that the 75” Hisense U8 uses an ADS Pro panel meaning the viewing angles are great as opposed to VA panels where the picture looks a little more washed out from the sides. The only downside is that the contrast may not be quite as great, but I haven’t noticed much of a difference with this and the 55” U8H from last year that I purchased for my living room. Upscaling is solid which was one of the things I was worried about. The brightness level is insanely good, blacks are deep, very little blooming. Out of the box the picture is very good but I always like to play with the settings I set mine up in the basement in my “man cave/ home theater” and for movies I like to set it on “Theater Day” and jack up the backlight a little. Haven’t tried theater night yet but I hear that’s the most accurate. All in all, I would absolutely recommend this, especially for the price. At $1300, you won’t find a better TV and you’ll be spending at least a few hundred bucks more to get something that’s a little better.

Best mini LED TV on the market
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a mini LED tv for my living room and after doing a good amount of research I found the Hisense U8K. Initially I was thinking I would finally get an OLED tv but I am still wary of burn in issues and dont want to risk it on an expensive tv so I decided mini led would suit me better. The higher brightness on the U8K is great for sunny or well lit rooms, the picture is very clear and I have been enjoying smooth HD sports and gaming on xbox series x in 4k. I was going to go with the 65" panel at first but when I discovered that the 75" is the only one with an IPS display that made up my mind because the viewing angles are much better compared to the VA panels on pretty much every other mini led tv on the market. I highly recommend this tv, it has great picture, great viewing angles and good sound as well compared to other flat screens I have owned in the past, it actually has a small subwoofer in the back, so maybe try it out and see if the sound quality is good enough for you, although it wont be better than a home theater speaker system naturally.

Great TV so far
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I took a chance on this TV after researched tech reviews up against LG and Samsung and had seen a Hisense large screen in an airbnb that had a good picture. So I thought why not-and so far I’m glad I gave this a try. We have always had only LG OLED or Samsung QLED so go spoiled but I am happy as can be with this! Great picture easy interface good sound. Happy for much less pain in pocketbook. Slightly more bulky than LG or Samsung and operates with Google but not annoying so far and TV is still flat as you need. I would recommend this one. If anything changes after a while using it I will update.

Great Bright TV!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Went out on a limb and bought this TV based on what I seen in the store on display, youtube reviews and rtings comparisons. Coming from a 1st gen, extremely burnt in Sony OLED (65" A1E) I knew I wanted to go bigger so I opted out for the 75". This TV is extremely bright compared to what we are used to. Had to turn that down. But if you are struggling with not wanting to go to an LG, Samsung, or Sony but dont want to pay their prices, I would say hands down get the u8k! I am not disappointed at all! Keep the box for a few days. We found a bug inside the screen (an actual bug was caught I guess in the manufacturing of this particular one). I called Best Buy customer service and they without question replaced (and delivered) the tv at no cost to me! Great service great tv! In Detroit the NextGen tv stations work great without issues, the quality of the the picture it produces is great. You wont get the Sony processing but this is the next best thing amd for the price I am very happy!

Q: Questionips or va panel????
Asked by Tdox.
- A:Answer 75" uses an ADS-Pro panel. All other sizes are a VA panel.
Answered by archer75
Q: QuestionWhy does my Hisense U8K not allow the ARC channel to send sound from the TV to the A/V Receiver? Input 3 eArc/Arc is connected to ARC on the A/V Receiver. I see video. But NOTHING allows audio from the Hisense TV to be heard from Onkyo TX-NR5009. Why?
Asked by MichaelZ.
- A:Answer Thank you for the suggestion. In the reviews for the U8K, they list the "pro" and "con" aspects of the TV. One of the "cons" for the U8K TV was how it is "very buggy." Hisense NEEDS to fix these "bugs" and technical glitches. The only way the eARC/ARC Input 3 will work for HIDMI Audio is if the Input 3 is set to either "Standard" or "Auto." If Input 3 is set to "Enhanced," the eARC/ARC will definitely not allow "HDMI" to be used for "Audio." Instead, "Audio" can only be output from the "TV Speakers" or from the "Optical" out. It truly is TERRIBLE that companies don't simply release some form of HDMI "Splitter" that can send the "Video" signal to the TV and the "Audio" signal to the A/V Receiver.

Q: QuestionWhat kind of processor does this have? Particularly how good does it upscale content from cable. Thanks
Asked by Jimm.
- A:Answer I don't know the processor, but I will say my experience with the 75U8K was not good. It's very glitchy and lags for the simplest things like basic menu navigation without any apps open. Specific to your question: poorly. Set your expectations appropriately when buying budget focused brands.

Q: QuestionIs this U8K 8 bit or 10 bit?
Asked by SandyC.
- A:Answer This is not the same as last years panel, this panel rates significantly higher according to rtings. Also, this is the only brand of TV, that I can never find any open boxes for. This means they’re either selling less of them, or they’re delivering a high quality product. However, it is using an IPS-ADS Display that is 8bit+frc. However, it is using quantum dot technology, so the color gamut is highly enhanced to deliver a very vibrant picture. The viewing angles are unmatched by anything but OLED and it has a solid refresh rate as well. Yes, you can get a 10 bit VA panel, that has slightly better black levels, but you give up viewing angles and potentially reliability by going with the TCL line of displays (there was a point when Best Buy stopped selling them due to high failure rates).

Q: QuestionI'm looking to buy this but I'm wondering what flaws it has and what it is missing. Will I have a chance to examine it at the store?
Asked by Clint.
- A:Answer Not sure if they will have on display anymore. Due to the fact that most of this year's models are coming out / or already being put on display. Tv dont need anyrhing but faster whwn makeing selections. It lags a little bit. Maybe its just the remote. But the sound and brightness are definitely awesome.
