Keyboard is fine, mouse response isn't great

I bought this because I needed a wireless keyboard for my PC that was pretty good looking and was fairly inexpensive. Looks-wise, I'm very happy, the keyboard is very minimalist and not bulky at all. I like the keyboard shortcuts along the top for controlling music, audio, and opening your calculator. Key response is fine as well, 4.5 stars on the keyboard itself. If I'm being really picky about the keyboard and had to give a negative, the keys aren't as easy to press as some keyboards, so it's probably not ideal if you're planning on doing a lot of typing. Additionally, the rubber non-slide pads on the underside of the keyboard are only on the bottom and the keyboard is pretty light weight, so it slides a little on occasion. The mouse is another story for me. I find that the movement is not as smooth and consistent as I'm used to with my logitech mouses. I use a logitech mk520 at work, and had been using a logitech m325 with my laptop. The only way I can describe it is that the movement doesn't feel as fine-tuned. I had a hard time quickly moving my mouse and stopping to click on smaller check boxes or icons. I adjusted my mouse speed to try and account for this, but it didn't help. Overall, happy with the purchase, but I'm not using the mouse that came with the keyboard, so I'm forced to use 2 USB ports on my PC. Not a big deal at all because it's a tower, so I'm totally content with my purchase. If I could go back, I would probably just spend the extra money and get another logitech mk520 instead.

      Keys don't respond properly

Setup: my laptop is connected to my TV, and I'm sitting on the sofa, which means I need a wireless keyboard/mouse combo. I chose this one because it has indicator lights for caps & num locks, and it's essential for me because I code a lot. There aren't many wireless keyboards with indicator lights, for which I can only wonder why... Anyway this keyboard felt good until I started playing games with it. The WASD keys don't respond properly. For example, if you hold W key, at the same time press A/D several times, and move the mouse around, after a few seconds the W key becomes unresponsive. There was even one case when I was only holding S and my character moved leftwards... I didn't test though if the problem has to do with the distance the keyboard is to the computer. However it didn't happen to another keyboard (from Microsoft) which I returned because it didn't have indicator lights, so it cannot be my problem. So in a nutshell, this keyboard is good for typing, but it can't play games that require quick keypresses and mouse movement.

I had a number of immediate issues with Insignia keyboard and mouse and, truthfully, I no longer have the list--which I offered to the person who took this product as a refund after just a few days of use (less than a week). She declined to hear my complaints of the product. Several people in the store and the keyboard area said that Logitech was a good product. I purchased it, and it has been working just fine. Sorry I can't give a specific complaint; I just recall that it was frustrating enough to send me back to the store with my "list" within a few days. The replacement product cost $20-30 more, and my thought was, "Well, that's just the way it goes. You get what you pay for." I DO recommend Logitech. I DO NOT recommend Insignia.

The keyboard and mouse have worked flawlessly so far. They were both picked up immediately by windows 10 and the drivers were installed automatically. Linux also was no problem. So far there have been no problems whatsoever. I cannot say that this keyboard is silent but it is much quieter than a lot of the keyboards available now. My one complaint is that the angle of the keyboard (with the little riser feet extended) does not give the best view of the indicator lights on the top right corner of the keyboard. If that little insert would have been raised a bit and tilted it would have been much easier to read/see.

Te keyboard was fantastic until day 31. I just checked my receipt and confirmed I had 30 days to return, and I just passed that date. If you purcase this keyboard get the warranty. I did not thinking I can get a years worth of usage out of te keyboard. Underneath the keys are rubber inserts to depress a button. Somehow it is no longer aligned to accurately depress the H and N keys making corrections very difficult. Luckily spell check can see most of the errors, but I am still disappointed at the loss of usage so soon after the warranty. I have write about 10,000 words on the keyboard during this first month. FYI, if you use a small screwdriver youll have no issues using H and N.

I bought this because I have other Insignia products and did not have any problems. I have had several issues with this keyboard and mouse. First no matter how close you are to the PC, the keyboard randomly misses characters. I even tried putting the USB module on a short USB extender cable. Next the mouse can be unreliable at times. Finally I began to have random PC shut downs. Removed the wireless Insignia USB dongle and replaced with a wired USB keyboard & mouse, all the problems go away. Tried another famous wireless keyboard brand, no problems. I am beyond on the return period and stuck with it, I guess I can try to use it as a doorstop.

Picked this up due to cost and the fact that it only uses 1usb which is cool. First off both the mouse and keyboard feel as cheap as you would imagine. The keyboard seems to work fine on both my mac and windows 10 pc. The problem is the mouse.. any time you stop movement to do anything even for a second when you go back to the mouse it will not move unless you click something. I have duplicated this instantly on both my mac and windows 10 machine. You can not just start to move the mouse again, you are forced to click to get it to register that you want to move it. This makes no sense and so at this point I will be forced to return the product.

Bought this to replace my Dell keyboard that came with my all-in-one computer. It is the perfect compact size with just the right amount of "click" to the keys without being too noisy. Keys have a nice spacing and a well-placed number pad. It has lights for CAPS and NUM lock which was a must for me---I don't know why every keyboard doesn't have a CAPS indicator! It comes with an ergonomic wireless mouse, but I preferred my existing mouse as this one was a bit on the small size. I don't like fancy and this keyboard was perfect for what I needed and very inexpensive. Some backlighting on the keys would give it a 5-star review!
