Best of both gaming and productivity
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would say it's a great laptop for it's price. It can do everyday tasks on the web and still be powerful enough for games. However, there are some instances where the computer lags out, but after a reboot everything is back to normal. This has only happened to me once, hopefully it doesn't happen again. Be warned, the battery life is not like the claimed 10+ hours or something, it's more around 5-6 hours, but it charges to 100 really fast in 30 mins. The display looks really clear and smooth, probably one of my favorite things about this laptop.

Disappointed with both Lenovo and Bestbuy
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I need to break this down into two reviews. One for Lenovo, and the other for Best Buy whatever department that handles Open box items. Lenovo: The display was amazing and the best part about this device, next the overall build quality and the keyboard deck were great. Much better than another ultrabook i have from them as well for work. Annoyance? The 3050 6GB refresh chip is NOT that great. They didnt put a mux, bios cant switch it to always be active only disable and its not much more powerful than the 680M in my testing with Heaven and Valley benchmarks. Then LTT released that video about Nvidia and the crap their pulling and it all made sense. THE PROBLEM: Lenovo it seems at some point after this came out, based on forum posts on lenovo support and around the web, totally BORKED again the USB C ports for DP 1.4 support. And will not connect to any of my dongles (Steamdeck dock, Two HDMI Dongles, my Travel montior, and a Thunderbolt 3 Dock). This is just as bad as my work laptop which is a Slim 7 14IAP7, and was also advertised originally as DP through it, but i cant use it directly, but at least the dongles work on its TB4 ports. This 'PRO' version with a dedicated. It seems some firmware for bios ruined that and you can only get the video out over the HDMI port, so its totally FALSE ADVERTISING. Doesnt help that lenovo doesnt make the older firmware available officially. COMPALINTS & PROBLEMS WITH BESTBUY OPEN BOX DEPARTMENT OF CHECKING HARDWARE FOR RESALE I got this laptop, and then the price changed. I got the laptop and i thought it was bent even tho i selected open box excellent. And it was just SO DIRTY that it wasnt sitting flush on the granite counter. I got this item and you know what i found? I found out from running tests on it that the SK Hynix 500GB SSD in it has been on for over 2500 hours. 104 DAYS???? Not only that but the drive has been written to Roughly 13 Terabytes already?! So for over three months someone used this (explains why half the warranty was already consumed in Lenovo Vantage) and wrote 26 times the drives capacity to it in that time? Thats not a gently used item in my opinion. THATS heavily used for a very specific thing and then returned! I tried to get customer service to adjust the price down to at least the Good value (but really the Fair Value at $470 at time of writing) but they wouldnt do it. I just had too many inconveniences with this device and decided enough was enough. I really wish this thing was better but Lenovo you are making me want to look elsewhere for a machine because thats two devices you've failed to support properly that youve advertised features to me. **Shakes Head** IF YOU READ THIS AND YOU BUY AN OPEN OBOX COMPUTER ALWAYS RUN CRYSTALDISKINFO and see how long it was in use! Learned my lesson here i think. Long story short, it was reset, sent back in its wrapper and I better get a refund on my account.

Productivity, Gaming, Greatness
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned around 3 lenovo computers and they are my absolute favorite, this one tops that list. I was in the market searcing for a laptop with a great build, a laptop that can game, and has great specs. I am a Tech person, and although there are reviews saying this laptop will not be able to game I can assure you that is absolutely false. This computer runs tripple A titles such as Red Dead Redemption, Call of Duty, Minecraft, all at 90FPS. The gameplay is exceptionally great and smooth, This computer can game FLAWLESSLY. However, do keep in mind this computer is NOT a dedicated gaming laptop, while this is not a super high end graphics card, the RTX 3050 can handle pretty much every and anything you throw at it, gaming in low to medium settings will give you optimal performance, most games I played at high settings and had no issues, the 16GB Of ram really helps with the performance. This laptop mirrors the Asus Zephryus g14 except this one has a seriously better build and a better screen and this is more reliable. There is no doubt, you’re getting a great PC. That can handle gaming with a breeze, Keep in mind if you want smooth gameplay go to Nvidia’s website and install the (GAME READY) drivers instead of the studio drivers (yes it comes with studio drivers, but downloading game ready drivers won’t harm it), This will ensure you have the latest game ready performance!! This step is very important, if you do not do this, then gameplay could potentially become laggy and full of bugs… This laptop also gets quite hot, however this laptop is meant to be a work horse, which means high temperatures are expected and won’t cause damage to the laptop, just make sure you’re in a well ventilated area if you are going to push the performance hard! I would highly recommend! This laptop also comes with windows Face ID!!!

A Versatile Workhorse for Productivity and Play
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As someone who has primarily used MacBooks, I was initially skeptical about switching to a Lenovo laptop. However, after using the Lenovo Slim 7 Pro, I can confidently say that it’s a game-changer. The Lenovo Slim 7 Pro effortlessly tackles coding, video editing, and resource-hungry tasks. Its Ryzen 7 processor ensures smooth performance. Plus, with up to 13 hours of battery life, you won’t be caught off guard. The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 GPU adds a dash of graphics magic, and the 14.5-inch touch screen keeps you productive without breaking your back. A few quirks? Sure, but overall, it’s a gem. Saad at Best Buy (Willowbrook, Houston), Thank you for suggesting it to me.

The best computer I've had yet.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lenovo computers in general have always been one of my favorite computer manufacturers. This computer is awesome, its sleek and runs very well. I can easily play a few rounds of TF2 without my computer lagging or overheating. I've had it for about a month now and I've had no problems with it- even with the fact I bought an open box version.

great price and quality
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i tried 2 different laptops before this one. Its pretty good and runs well, plus the audio and visuals are great. I have sensory issues so it's really nice that i can make the brightness as low as i need, because the previous laptops (Inspiron 16; i bought one that was defective then traded it for another defective one) had both audio and screen brightness issues (was too bright, and audio kept crackling and glitching). I'm also happy with the price as it was cheaper than my last laptops AND had more storage. also it was packaged sooooo nicely, it had its own box and everything was wrapped. it felt so much better and i could tell more care was put into the product compared the the Inspiron which had bad and careless packaging. kinda funny that i have lenovo earbuds and headphones, i guess i'm a fan lol

Q: QuestionWhat is the point of the touchscreen if the laptop cannot bend into convertible mode? Seems to me like fairly useless feature with the keyboard and trackpad forcibly in-between you and screen.
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer I've never seen the value in having a 2 in 1, it feels more like a gimmick that I'll only use once or twice. That said, this is my second laptop I've used with a touch screen and I can't go back. The touch screen is way faster when you have the laptop on your lap, not to mention it's really helpful when you're helping someone else with their computer. Multiple times I've been sitting next to my mom with her Mac, trying to show her how to get to something, and tapped on the screen forgetting that it isn't touch. It's a really small feature for lazy people, but I think really useful regardless of whether or not it's a 2 in 1.

Q: QuestionCan the hard drive be upgraded? If so, what is the maximum storage?
Asked by ia24601.
- A:Answer The Solid State Drive can be upgraded. It comes with a 512GB but it can be upgraded to 2TB I believe.

Q: QuestionDoes it have an extra M.2 slot? If not then will I have to buy a windows key if I replace the SSD?
Asked by Ronny.
- A:Answer Unsure about the second m.2 slot but you can use the same windows licence that the laptop is supplied with to activate windows on your new drive. You’ll just need to find the product key, it’ll be on the underside of the laptop or there’s a command line code you can run to locate your product key.

Q: QuestionAre you able to use this with a 100W USB-C charger? I know it's not the OEM but I was hoping to get a compact 100W charger for traveling.
Asked by Juan.
- A:Answer Yes you can. I currently use it with a 100W USB-C charger. It even works with my 65W charger. Looking at the discharge stats, while just browsing it is discharging at ~10W (per hour),

Q: QuestionWhat stylus pen is it compatible?
Asked by William.
- A:Answer I made the mistake yesterday buying a well-known brand of stylus pen along with my purchase of the Lenovo Slim Pro 7 14". The stylus pen doesn't work. In fact, there are NO stylus pens on the market per the Lenovo website that are compatible with this laptop. Looks like we are out of luck.

Q: QuestionI was just wondering if the battery life is good on this laptop?
Asked by YeetStick.
- A:Answer The battery life is very good and it matches the specs

Q: Questionhow long should i generally game on it for
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer If you leave fps uncapped and let the 3050 run at 100% it will get very hot to a point where I don't feel safe running it like that for more than 5 minutes. Cooling system was definitely not meant to handle full blast. Capping games so gpu util is at 80% has been warm but definitely okay on the system, and fps is decent.
