Another Good Season
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are a Downton Abby fan like me this season will not disappoint. Anna and Mr. Bates continue on with the drama from last seasons horrible events that will not leave these two to move forward. And of course "poor Edith" continues on trying to keep the secret of her daughter....honestly though I absolutely hate the way she treats the woman who 'adopted' and loves her daughter. I understand how Edith must feel, but she is just totally selfish with the way she handles the people who tried to help her the most in this situation. I found the series finale wonderful after being exhausted by these two storylines. There is an impending marriage that I am so looking forward to seeing next season. I enjoyed being able to power watch this season and not miss the shows (Walking Dead) that are on at the same time. Another great season to add to my collection.

The review of Downton Abbey: Season 5.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well, I didn't know that Downton Abbey: Season 5 also has a very different label comparing to the PBS Masterpiece version as well. That was also incredible.

Best Soap Opera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent dramatic series of a British family starting before WW I but not just any family. They live in a castle & are rich & powerful. The best thing about this series is that the viewer gets to watch the interaction between Lord, Lady & servant staff sort of like "Upstairs Downstairs" and there is just as much drama downstairs as is upstairs. Great cast, direction, writing. Actress Maggie Smith has all of the best lines & words of advice. Recommended to all.

keen way to understand changes wrought by 1920s
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There's no letdown in the 5th season of Downton Abbey from the previous four. I greatly enjoyed the story of the titled Crawley family and those who served them as they sailed through the period of the colorful Roaring 20s. There were some surprises in the issues introduced for the times--the rise of the Labor government, interfaith marriage, advent of radio outreach, Russian emigres, etc. Great entertainment with history lessons to boot!

Hours of historic, pertinent fun.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a continuing story it keeps your interest and wonderment of what could happen next. Everything about this series is perfect...the clothes, the cars, the housing all reflect a by gone age. Most importantly, the thinking of the changing times is so relevant . I only wish they would do series of this period all around the world ie Russia, USA etc.

This Needs to Be 5,000 Stars
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.AMAZING!!! Series 5 does not disappoint! If you've been a fan of the show to this point, you'll love this series and all the new plot twists. Honestly, better than Series 4 (which was good in the first few episodes post-Matthew, but kind of lagged toward the end). Every episode of this series is better than the one previous, you'll be watching and crying and squealing with glee until the very last moment of the Christmas episode!

Downton Abbey 5: Another Excellent Continuation
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Juggling the story lines of over a dozen characters is what makes the continuing saga of Downtown Abbey an enjoyable journey, although of the past, time wise, it is applicable even in todays modern society. Their lives seem as real in context even though they are staged almost a century in the past. Another enjoyable, watchable season!
