A: No it does not. It’s only meant to play the switch in tabletop mode while charging. Does not have a port for hdmi to connect to the tv.
Q: Does this stand work well on soft surfaces?
A: Its not great on soft surfaces because its so small and doesn't have much of a footprint. Awesome on hard surfaces but try something like the Hori game stand for soft surfaces.
A: I’ve done that and had no issues, the only thing you have to look out for is the voltage output of the wall adapter. Just make sure it doesn’t output more voltage than the original by a whole lot and you should be fine, still would recommend sticking to the original hardware if possible though, but at the same time I wouldn’t stress over it
