Q: Can these lights be used outside?
A: Yes but depends on the application. I have one in my front foyer but its under my awning and doesn't get wet. So long as its covered up and not completely exposed to the elements, I think itll be ok.
A: These are dimmable using the Hue App or alexa.
A: This doesn't not require the HUE Bridge to control. You should see a Bluetooth logo on the package, this means you can control up to 10 bulbs from the Philips HUE app on your phone. Bright, solid build, long lasting
This is my second pack of the bulbs. The first pack I bought with the hub. I love them! I love how I can set their colors on the app, set up a room on the app where it knows which bulb is which, and you can make the colors VERY bright - almost fluorescent! However you have to be on wifi to use the app, and I am normally on my cell service so I have to always switch it to wifi. Also when you unplug the lamp that the bulbs are in, or shut it off, the colors go back to being white. So I have to go back to the app, turn on wifi, and change the colors of the bulbs. If you always use the same colors, it shows circles of the last few colors you used, so you can just click on them to assign to the bulbs instead of finding the exact shade you want on the big color wheel every time. The bulbs are a sturdy & solid build. I haven't had any issues with any dying or breaking, and they seem like they will last forever...*knock on wood*! They better though, because they are expensive lol! Good thing I had a coupon & best buy rewards! In my attached pic, I have them set as fluorescent pink, green, and blue. The room is also getting illuminated by a huge blue LED light strip all along the edges of the room on the floor. The colors go awesome together. :)

Really Cool
My son got me a starter kit for Christmas, I was going to return it, but decided to set it up. The lights are awesome. Love being able to control the lights with my phone. Have been buying these 2-pack of lights about once a month (they aren't cheap) and replacing my old light bulbs around the house. I did try some of the white only bulbs (much cheaper) but they are a soft white (yellow tint) and the rest of the "old" bulbs that I have are bright white (no yellow tint) so it looked weird, so I took them back and got these instead. They can be bright white, soft white and every other white there is, as well every color in the spectrum.

Freakin awesom
I just love my hue bulbs. I am gradually turning my home into a smart home. The color bulbs just adds a little something different to whatever room you are in with a little bit of accent. They are a bit expensive, which is why I am doing a room at a time. Other than that they are great.
