Q: Do you need a Hub for these bulbs?
A: Great question. Most of the new Hue bulbs works using bluetooth and can work with an Alexa device without the hub. But I think the hub is worth getting for the additional functionality and because of the syncing with the hue app and all that. I think the hub is a good idea to do when you first start your system rather than getting one later.

Just Works, Beautifully
Installed these in minutes and they worked right away. The colors are rich, the whites are perfect for everyday use, and switching scenes feels smooth and effortless. Everything just works, and using them has honestly been a delight. Worth it.

Good for fun pops of color in your home
Love these bulbs and how i only have to use one app (philips hue app) to control them all. We connect them to alexa and mostly ask her to turn them on or off. We have several throughout our house. But i also have a few bulbs and light strips from other brands and their colors are just a bit punchier/brighter… whereas hue bulb colors feel a bit more muted and understated. But it works well throughout my home, as it is not just a teenager’s bedroom.

Need a bulb? This is it!
Works seamlessly with phillips app and is brighter for better illumination of our living room. Should have made the switch to this bulb much sooner.
