QuestionDoes this converter box have an RF remote? My situation is that my media closet is far away from my projector / living room so I need a remote where the signal travels through walls, etc. If it does not, is there a converter that does have an rf remote?

- Answer It has a remote but not RF. The remote has to be pointed directly at the box.

- Answer I don't know exactly what the problem could be. I would suggest you try with several stations one at a time. I have recorded a whole program for almost an hour using a USB drive which I later used on another player and it did well.

- Answer The manual describes a time shifting function. Press pause while live tv is on, screen will say 'entering time shifting mode". Then, you can rewind back up to the point where pause was pressed. In the menu setup, up to 4gb of the flash drive space can be reserved for the time shifting function.

QuestionIs the remote RF? We have cable provided by the HOA complex and we’re trying to avoid renting a box from the cable provider, but our equipment all runs to the media closet so we can’t use infrared.

QuestionI Noted in the MENU under The SYSTEM tab is an option called sSoftware Update. I searched all over Aluratek's website to no avial for any software update. Not to mention ther ATDB01F couldn't be found anywhere on the site.
