on the arlo app, mode-click on the pencil-click on the pencil-record video(click on pencil)- change time

You can adjust the length of time to record there...when you edit or add a mode, and go through all of the choices, it will give you the option to adjust the recording length - I found that anything more than 30 or 40 seconds is just dead air...that being the motions that triggers the record is usually gone and from view/sound and the clip just records. Your situation may differ, but rarely did I pick anything up after the first 20 - 30 seconds.
