QuestionWill the Arlo Q work with existing Arlo wireless & be able to monitor on the phone using the same viewing page?I just want to be able to make sure it will work with our existing Arlo wireless.

- Answer Yes, it will all be under the same view within the Arlo app. On your end it will work seamlessly. The only difference is the Arlo Q doesn't need the base station that the wireless ones use.

- Answer The software continously saves up to 7 days on the free plan. You can download any videos within that 7 days. The paid plan will hold recordings for thirty days continously. In other words its not a 7 day trial, you have access to 7 most recent days via their software.

- Answer The Arlo Q has a power cord only. It's probably about 10 feet long I estimate. It connects via Wi-Fi to your network and clips are sent to the cloud that way. The original Arlo cameras have no wires except for the base station that you attach to your network. Wireless ones are nice and allow them to be easily placed in most any area however every few months you have to change the batteries which can get expensive overtime.

- Answer Yes absolutely! I have 2 camera system and was able to easily link the Q to the base. You can link up to 5 cameras.

- Answer You can set schedules by day, hour, etc. So many options. You create schedules and arm whatever ones you want.

- Answer I do not have a base and it works off of our wifi connects to my Samsung cellphone via the Arlo Q App its awesome and you can connect up to 5 on the app with no extra charge. Its awesome watch your house from work, you can even talkie the mic from your phone. It's been great...

- Answer This camera needs to plug into a power source, but connects to the internet wirelessly. Once you complete the initial wireless setup, the camera will connect to your network automatically, even if you temporarily deactivate it or lose power.

- Answer During the day it should work, as long as the suns level in the sky isn’t bouncing light directly at the lens. But at night if it is too close to the window the nightvision redlights come on and might reflect off the window. That would make it so you can’t see out the window.

- Answer Cameras use your home wireless system (WiFi) to connect to the cloud for configuration and image capture and archiving. These cameras need to be plugged in to an electrical socket to function, there is no ability to run off of batteries. With this model, no base station is needed. The battery operated models do use a dedicated base station.

- Answer No, it will record 2 minute intervals when activated by motion or sound. You would have to look at each 2 minute recording. It is good for security not monitoring activity.

- Answer Well, Sort of. First you can only access the camera and library from a mobile device (phone or tablet, i use android but there may be apple support too), however you can download the video files from your phone or tablet, and then play them back if you can send them to any device (i.e. vai cloud drive or something) including a PC i would guess.

- Answer During day time, it's OK. During nighttime, you will need to turn of the night-vision and if the front yard is well lit, it will record. However, motion detection may not be reliable if you choose to install in this way. Other option would be to install it under eaves or overhangs, where it is well protected from rain.

- Answer Here is what I experience, yes you can have both push and email at the same time. It seems push notifications only work if you leave the Arlo App running in the background on your device. If you log out of the App you lose push notifications. Push notifications do make a sound as long as your notification volume is on/up. You will always get email notification if you you have it on in Arlo and have an email notification alert sound set up on your device (cell phone?). I do not get a tone for emails (thats turned off on my phone) but do get a tone for Arlo notifications on my cell phone...when I leave the app running. You can also do all kinds of things with IFTTT and email alerts. Although it seems pretty slow. I tried to turn on my Hue Lights when I got an Gmail from "Arlo Alerts". It worked but it was like 5 minutes from email to IFTTT trigger and lights coming on. Too long.

QuestionCan more than one person check in remotely through their phone and view the live feed of what I’ll be monitoring? Me and my 2 siblings want to keep an eye on our grandma to make sure she’s always safe, so I want to be sure we’re all able to access her.
