• You can shut off the Wi-Fi on the SBG8300. If you are adding a Wi-Fi router, setting up "bridged mode" on the SBG8300 is recommended.

• Yup, all modems that have wifi built in have the option for the wifi to be disabled. I personally just use the ethernet
