So far it works better than the Comcast modem that had voice and we are saving $13.00 month So if you want voice with the modem you will need something like this ARRIS Surfboard (24x8) Docsis 3.0 Cable Modem Plus AC1750 Dual Band Wi-Fi Router and Xfinity Telephone, Certified for Comcast Xfinity Only (SVG2482AC), or modem with Telephone
