Yes, you can use your router along with this cable modem

Please try again later.It is compatible with any router that uses standard cat5e ethernet (the cable that looks like a fat telephone cable), most will have the 1gbs for ethernet. It's maximum speed is 1gb per second. You will not get faster upload or downloads that that from your internet provider even if you have a higher level of service but devices on your router can communicate up to the maximum speed of your router if they support it. Also, do not expect to get that speed from computers to router unless you have a short line of sight distance. Wifi degrades with distance and obstacles.
