please note that SB6190 doesn't have a phone jack in it. You can use a third party converter or you can opt for one of the voice cable modems like SBV2402, SBV3202, T25 etc. which are compatible for Xfinity's services

I don’t see a problem using this even with a home phone, they don’t use the same setup. DSL modems should be okay even with a home phone - my family has that kind of setup
