“I live in the Bronx & I was wondering if this type of wifi /modem would work better than what the cable company have uses being the gigabits seem to be much faster? I rather save then renter fee monthly & own my own modem/wifi unit!”

• Hi, Please note SB8200 is a cable modem only, it requires a separate Wi-Fi router for wireless capabilities. It provides support for speed tiers of upto 1 Gbps

• This modem does not have the functionality of a router. It does not broadcast a WiFi signal. It is a modem only. A separate router is required for connecting more than 1 device. Speed on this unit is great, just make sure you have a fast router as well to benefit from the speed of the modem.
