I cleaned the collection compartment. Rinsed the water compartment that holds your water and soap. To make sure all the soap was out. Then the plastic cover over the brushes comes off. And can clean that and get all the clumps of hair and other debris out and clean it. Took me probably 5 minutes to clean. Was very happy with it.

The dirty water tank is easy to clean as the top comes off completely, making it very easy to wash out. The top of the machine comes off easily, allowing you to wipe off the roll chamber and rinse out the nozzel under a sink. Ensure the machine has cooled before you attempt to remove the nozzle as per the directions!! Hope this helps!
