• A:Answer pro 200 is a geared towards professions who want to print photos as if they were developed from film. It is a dye bases printer compared to normal inkjets. uses 8 colors to print photos. i wouldnt get this unless you really trying to sell prints or need color precision. It the pro 200 is an amazing printer. We love ours. We print life like photos and rich color graphics. but ink gets expensive and harder to find and for this printer i would only recommend genuin canon. not like i have done in the past :)

• A:Answer From what I've read, these inks will last a long time. But they do not last the same length of archival time as, say, Epson inks. If you frame the prints behind UV glass, I would think the color and quality will outlast a couple generations. There are 8 cartridges. Magenta, Light Magenta, Cyan, Light Cyan, Yellow, Black, Gray, Light Gray .

Q: QuestionSo many reviews for this printer say that the replacement ink cartridges for this printer are very hard to find. Is this still true? Are the replacement cartridges still difficult to find?

• A:Answer Always have to order mine online. Best Buy does not sell them in store anymore. Staples rarely has them in store. But, the printer always lets you know when you are low and should order more ink. I recently printed multiple color photos and ran out of yellow in the process. The pages still printed and I didn’t see a difference in color. So, if you are out of one color it isn’t too big of an issue for immediate printing. Does take awhile to ship either way, express shipping is not worth it. I do love this printer though! Worth the inconvenience of getting new cartridges.

• A:Answer The back feed goes up diagonally, and it has a hinge, so you can unfold it again and make it longer (& higher). Measuring horizontally, with just the first fold up it seems to be about 18.5 inches and with both folds extended it seems to be about 22 inches. I am just eyeballing it with a tape measure so probably +/- a half inch.
