The back feed goes up diagonally, and it has a hinge, so you can unfold it again and make it longer (& higher). Measuring horizontally, with just the first fold up it seems to be about 18.5 inches and with both folds extended it seems to be about 22 inches. I am just eyeballing it with a tape measure so probably +/- a half inch.
