Living room, view, TV, Stereo, entry way, game boxes, where most burglars go after they have your stuff. Oh yes, higher up where you cant touch it walking, not in the kitchen, lens will get foggy.

I put in the front window dogs kept walking on the lawn the camera did not give me notifications on my phone

You can put it anywhere you need security. Your only limitation is your Wi-Fi range from your modem
